You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Plum, who we affectionately refer to as Alice. Alice displays a gentle and sweet demeanor, and really enjoys children. If given the opportunity, she loves to snuggle in bed. She delights in showing affection by licking faces endlessly. She is generally quiet and composed once settled into her environment. Alice is bright and quick to learn. She is an athlete and enjoys bouncing around enthusiastically. She gets along with other dogs after being given the opportunity of slow introductions, but she doesn't like to share treats or food and those should be given to her individually.    She can have big feelings when it comes to loud vehicles, lawn mowers, and new dogs but with patience, time and training her reaction to those triggers should diminish over time. Want to learn more about Alice and see if she is your newest family member? Apply today!    Plum is from a local impound. Story
Hello, my name is Frodo or Fitzgerald! I’m a one year old happy energetic pup that’s listed as a Great Dane Mix. I’m overall pretty friendly with all. I am kennel trained and a great eater, which means I’m also fun to teach new tricks to! I would be best suited to go to a new home that has a schedule and lifestyle that I can be a huge part of. Since I’m young and full of energy I would do best in a fenced in yard or have the ability to have new activities I can be a part of like hiking or day trips to explore new places. I need solid leadership as sometimes I need to be a little recentered or refocused when I get over stimulated. Because of this, I would be best in a place without young children as I’m still a little uncoordinated from time to time and little kid energy is a bit confusing for me. Kids who are a little older and are interested in helping train me are definitely an exception. Basically from the get go I’m going to just need consistency throughout everyone in the household to help me learn the rules so I can settle in successfully. My current foster mom does in-home boarding at our house so I spend my days meeting new dogs and some new people, so I am pretty well socialized and very much thrive with all the constant stimulation. I do best meeting others outside my kennel in an open space, I tend to be submissive and take appropriate correction from dogs older than me, very well as I’m constantly learning ways to play with all different sizes and breeds. I can't wait to find my forever family!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 23, 2024, 2:21 pm

Name: Eddie Munster Breeds: American Bully Age: Adult Sex: Male Size: Large Eddie Munster is a blocky headed softie who wants nothing more than a home of his own. Lap dog he is not but don’t tell him that! He is great with other dogs and when the cat smacked out at him he cried and hid behind his handler. Eddie is a sensitive soul through and through. He is housetrained, crates well, and minds his manners so well. We can’t say enough good about him. Eddie is about 75 lbs, 4 years old Requirements: No special requirements Adoption Fee: $500 + tax. Story
Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi, I’m Pinkie! I’m a 3-year-old Bully Mix, weighing in at a solid 68 pounds of love and loyalty. My favorite thing in the world? Being close to my people and furry friends, whether we’re playing or just chilling together. I’m a big fan of snuggles, and if there’s a blanket to curl up under with you, I’m in heaven. I’ve got my potty and crate training down pat, and I even know some commands like “sit” and “stay.” But hey, I’m still learning—sometimes I get a little distracted. Give me a treat or some praise, and I’ll be eager to impress you! I’m also great with kids, and I’d love a forever home with some humans to adore me as much as I adore them. I love my walks, but fair warning—I can get a bit excited and pull on the leash. Oh, and I definitely need a fenced yard. There’s nothing better than the freedom to roam, sniff, and explore safely every day. I enjoy playing with my resident dog buddy and would be happy with another doggy sibling, but I’d also be okay as your one-and-only, as long as you’re around a lot. Cats? Well, I’m curious about them and have learned they come with claws, so it’s probably best I stick to a cat-free home. I’m the perfect mix of playful and mellow, happy to romp around and then settle in for a snooze. My foster mom says I’m incredibly sweet, and honestly? I agree. I’m ready to bring lots of love, laughter, and cuddles to my forever family—could that be you? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Adrian is a smart, playful puppy who also loves to snuggle. He loves kids and he’s cautious, but curious with other dogs even 10 times his size. He’s such a sweetheart! Adrian is 4 lbs 10 oz at 9 weeks old.Mom was a purebred English Bulldog (owner kept her) and suspected dad is a border collie. Both parents are around 30-40 pounds (if dad is correct), but it’s tough to say exactly how big the puppies will get since they were neglected and malnourished before coming in.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 28, 2025, 5:55 am

Story
Hi, my name is Phoenix. I am from Arkansas. Phoenix found himself with a shelter partner of ours after escaping a life of neglect. Rescued from poor living conditions, he's blossomed into one of the happiest, best-behaved dogs you could meet. Phoenix loves to play fetch and tug-of-war, is 100% house-trained, and gets along well with other dogs. With his striking brindle patches and mismatched eyes, he's ready to find a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive! From his foster: Phoenix is a lovable old soul with a goofball side. He is such a sweet boy and has been so well behaved the entire time we've been fostering him. He's fully house and crate trained. He did bark for a few minutes the first couple times he went in the crate but he's been perfectly fine from there on out. Phoenix has been very gentle with everyone he's been around including kids and our other dog. We leave him out at night and he just crashes wherever he wants and has never been destructive with anything in the house. He's a little on the husky side so we're working on some leash training to get a little exercise but the main thing this guy wants to do is cuddle up on the couch with you and take some naps. Please don't hesitate if you have any question about this amazing boy.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Clove – The Sweet, Sassy Bulldog! Clove is a bulldog with a personality as charming as her name! This affectionate girl is a fun mix of sweet and sassy, guaranteed to make you smile every day. She adores snuggling, playing fetch, and tug-of-war with squeaky toys – and yes, she thinks she’s a lapdog! What Clove Brings to the Table: Commands Superstar: She knows sit, lay down, down, stay (still a work in progress), kennel up, and come (when she feels like it – what a diva!). Treat Champion: She takes treats gently and loves all the praise that comes with it. Loves to Play: Whether it’s a game of tug or chasing after a toy, she’s all in! Clove’s Fun Quirks and Progress: Not a Fan of the Cold: She enjoys the great outdoors but would prefer a warm snuggle on chilly days. Loves to howl along with sirens on TV and is a fan of Nicki Minaj. House-Trained in Progress: She’s almost there and catching on fast with only a couple of accidents. Crate-Trained: Clove adjusts well to her crate with just a little initial whining (background music seems to help her relax). Still Polishing Skills: She’s working on leash manners (pulls when she’s excited), jumping up, and severe stranger danger around men and some dogs. She needs ongoing socialization and training to help her shine even brighter and very slow intros when placed in situations around men or dogs.   Medication:  Clove is on anti-anxiety meds to assist with her wariness around new or strange things. Click here , here , here , here and here to take a peek into Clove’s sweet personality. Her Ideal Family: Clove would thrive with a single woman who’s looking for a loving and loyal companion. Her best match will have no young children or other pets, though she might warm up to dog siblings with time and proper introductions. She’s curious about cats but doesn’t always know her own strength, so feline friends might need supervision. With patience, love, and continued training, Clove will become the most amazing partner in crime you could ask for. She warms up quickly to people she trusts and loves to know what her humans are up to. Once she’s by your side, she’s all in! Are you ready to make Clove a part of your life? This sweet, stubborn bulldog is sure to steal your heart!  Clove is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application.
