Arlo and his litter mates were born in the Appalachia Mountains. They are American Bulldog mixes is our best guess. These pups are as sweet as sweet can be. They enjoy their play time in the yard and making friends in play group. They are actually heroes. They saved their mommas life as she was tied to a 50 pound log chain on the side of the mountain. Angel gave birth to 6 puppies. She had little to no food or water. She gave everything she had to keep her pups alive. She wouldn't have lasted much longer in the heat. The pups were about 4 weeks old when a couple of them followed another dog home down the mountain. The dog owner followed the pup back and found Angel and the rest of her pups. These pups are now healthy and wanting a family to call their own. They need a home with a fenced in yard; an invisible fence is not adequate. They are up to date on shots, rabies, neutered and microchipped. They have been started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $313 which includes a lifetime microchip registration fee of $13. ##1566589##

Lonnie was surrendered to to us back in September of 2023 after he was abandoned while in the care of someone not in a position to keep him. He's a really good boy and from the sounds of it, he's been passed around a lot in his life.Although Lonnie isn't a pup, he has a ton of playful energy and has a very loving and vibrant personality! He's a big ol' goofball that's guaranteed to give his future family a ton of fun. Hello world! My name is Keanu Reeves (the dog version), but you can just call me Keanu! Although I'm not stealing the spotlight on the big screen, I am aiming to steal a spot on your couch!I was surrendered to the nice people at FDHS several months ago after my previous owner could no longer keep me. I wasn't in the best of condition when I arrived, I was pretty skinny and missing some hair. In the time that I've been here I look like a completely different dog! I'm a sturdy boy with a large head and a tail that NEVER stops wagging. I really am the happiest of boys.I've done pretty well in the shelter environment. I'm always eager to meet new human friends and I love to run around in the fenced yard out back. I can get a little sassy with some of the more "intense" dogs but I think with slow and proper introductions, I wouldn't mind having a canine sibling. I did very well when I was cat-tested and would likely be totally fine going to a home with them. The staff praises me for keeping a clean kennel (other than the occasional mud from my paws...I like to play!) and I do excellent with routine.Overall, I'm a big goofy guy that's just looking for my fur-ever love....could it be you?**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Everyone meet Jasper! Jasper came to us after his owner could no longer take care of him, to no fault of his own. He was very scared and confused about his new environment. But now he is starting to warm up and is a good boy. He is happiest when he is outside! He loves to go on walks or simply hang out in the back yard! Since it has taken him a bit to warm up to us, slow introductions and multiple meet and greets would be best. He is a good dog but may need a calmer environment with a more experienced family. He would do best in a home with older (15+) or no children. He does struggle with going back into his kennel here at the shelter, so we think he would do best with a home where he has free range of the house or at least a room that he can hang out in while you're away. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 50 lbs**
