Everyone, meet Lonnie!Lonnie has become a very familiar face to FDHS and we aren't sure why this cutie patootie is still hanging out with us. Lonnie was surrendered to to us back in September of 2023 after he was abandoned while in the care of someone not in a position to keep him. He's a really good boy and from the sounds of it, he's been passed around a lot in his life.Although Lonnie isn't a pup, he has a ton of playful energy and has a very loving and vibrant personality! He's a big ol' goofball that's guaranteed to give his future family a ton of fun. Lonnie could use a little brushing up on his manners but he's a smart guy and very obedient if you're able to keep his attention and focus. Need a buddy to play fetch with? Lonnie's your dude! When it comes to other animals, a Meet & Greet is always ideal for any potential furry siblings! He does great with kids and would make an awesome family dog. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and UTD on all vaccines & monthly prevention. He weighs about 64 lbs**

Everyone meet Jasper! Jasper came to us after his owner could no longer take care of him, to no fault of his own. He was very scared and confused about his new environment. But now he is starting to warm up and is a good boy. He is happiest when he is outside! He loves to go on walks or simply hang out in the back yard! Since it has taken him a bit to warm up to us, slow introductions and multiple meet and greets would be best. He is a good dog but may need a calmer environment with a more experienced family. He would do best in a home with older (15+) or no children. He does struggle with going back into his kennel here at the shelter, so we think he would do best with a home where he has free range of the house or at least a room that he can hang out in while you're away. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 50 lbs**

Laila is a 3yr old spayed female Boxer/ Pitbull mix. Laila came to us as part of a cruelty case. Laila was loved but never received vet care or proper food. She had a terrible flea infestation and was missing a lot of hair. She was also thin and needed wormed. She has now been fully vetted and has put on some much needed weight. For everything she has been through Laila is still a very kind and gentle girl. She eagerly wants to please you and should quickly learn new commands. She has some energy but also calms down nicely. She is good with her food and happily shares toys and treats. She has been through enough and now deserves to live the good life. She seems very well house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $200. Meet Miss Marie!This pretty, wiggly thing has been hanging around our facility since April. She and her buddy Donny (also available) were found romping around together as strays and were never reclaimed by their previous humans. Marie is a total charmer with the sweetest little smile! She's got a very friendly disposition and doesn't seem to know a stranger. She doesn't mind the other shelter dogs and would likely be a great addition to most households. We are confident she'd make a great family member to a home with children too!During the day, Marie keeps a squeaky clean kennel and usually does well over-night. She's got great manners and loves to play with toys in the fenced yard out back. She could use a bit of work on leash but she's a smart girl and eager to learn!Miss Marie is one of the most loving and affectionate pups we have in the building.
