Story
This handsome Eskimo/Heeler mix boy is called Spock and he is a charming  2 year old that is a perfect size at just 45 pounds.  This special, young dog was found as a stray and the lady who found him adored his unique look and wonderful personality.  But sadly this loving rescue lady has had to admit that her health is just not stable enough to give him a long term life and home with her.  She is sacrificing this sweet boy to give him a chance at a forever home that will give him a great life for the next 10+ years.  Spock is very smart, alert, affectionate, loyal and fun dog to have around.  Due to the blend of breeds, he is called an Aussimo – a good mixture of both breeds.  He is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and is a true cuddle buddy. Spock is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, HW prevention, microchipped and a healthy boy.  He is good with children and gets along nicely  with other dogs.  This stunning boy is ready today for his forever home. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Heidi (heidi@eskierescuers.org) for more information about this pet.Update: Snow's SNAP4DX was negative and his senior panel is indicative of a healthy pup. Snow hops on his back left leg every once in a while and xrays showed an issue with his hip, but the orthopedic specialist believes nothing needs to be done as long as Snow is getting around with no issues. Snow loves his daily walks and running through the yard. He is such a good little boy!Beautiful Snow arrived at the R'Eskie Ranch in Maryland on Valentine's Day and what a wonderful gift. Snow is a sweet, happy, smart little eskie boy. Snow was living in an outdoor kennel for the last two years. When his owner lost his home and had to move to an apartment that does not allow dogs, Snow was taken to the shelter. We are so glad that we can help Snow, and welcome him indoors as a valuable member of the family. Snow's records (from owner) show he has not been to a vet since 2019, and that was only for a rabies vaccination. We will get a senior panel (blood work), SNAP4DX and dental if needed. He will also get a nice bath and brush out before adoption. Snow was neutered at the shelter, and given a rabies vaccine and HW test (negative) before we pulled him. Please stay posted if you are interested in this charming eskie boy.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her.Hi my name is Genesis, I need a new home because I don't get along with younger children. I have nipped and scratched the kid in our house. I do so much love the older girl in our family and will miss her very much. I would do best in a home with one or two people. I may get along with some smaller dogs, depending on their attitude.  I do well off leash and will listen well once I know you. I like to play with catch the ball.  I am a work in progress and who knows how I will be in a less chaotic home. I am due for a heartworm test. For more complete information please contact Bridget  Bzarajczyk@yahoo.comRehoming fee appliesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 20, 2025, 6:26 pm

Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. Meet Winter Snow (Winnie) – Your Loyal, Loving Companion! Winter Snow, or Winnie for short, is a sweet and spunky senior pup (11 years old) who still has the energy of a puppy! She absolutely loves spending time with her human—cuddling, getting belly rubs, and of course, enjoying tasty snacks. She’s great in the car, whether she’s gazing out the window or curling up for a nap. Winnie enjoys her toys but needs tougher, durable ones since she tends to tear up anything too soft. She loves going on walks, exploring, and showing off her (simple) tricks (especially if treats are involved!).She’s an affectionate and devoted companion but prefers to be the queen of her castle. She doesn’t do well with young kids or other dominant dogs, as she naturally likes to take the lead. If you're looking for a loving, playful, and loyal best friend, Winter Snow could be the perfect match for you! If you're interested in giving Winnie a loving home, reach out today! For more information please contact  Danielle dmorency2342@gmail.comRehoming fee applies.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 23, 2025, 9:21 am

Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her.  Bruno is very energetic sweet dog. He likes to travel in car and loves to play with other dogs. He is definitely alert and caring. He will bark and growl at dogs and people at the distance, once you introduce them to him and he sniffs he will calm down. He can be very protective of family members especially kids, but he is good with strangers outside of house like dog parks. Bruno had surgery in his right leg because he was hit by a car, his leg is fully recovered.  For more information on this sweet boy, please contact Sunita at  Sugajmer1@gmail.comRehoming fee appliesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 4, 2025, 7:36 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This sweet little girl came to ERU with nine other eskies in 2019. The 10 eskies (FL-10) were from an eviction situation. The owner was a backyard breeder and was being forced out of a home he was renting, and when police were called the dogs were found in the back yard.  From what we heard, the dogs lived outside in stacked metal cages year round.  The dogs in the bottom cages were the filthiest, as everything from cages above them landed on them.    There were no vet records, none of them were altered, none of them were house trained.  They didn't know what a leash was, and all were extremely shy.  Almost half of them were HW positive. And most of them had several intestinal parasites.Sweet Petunia was adopted to a wonderful couple in PA and they loved her dearly. Sadly the main caretaker passed away, and the remaining caretaker could not care for her. She came back to ERU with multiple health issues which will be addressed by our DVM soon. Please stay tuned for an update on Petunia's health.Sweet little Petunia Is now available for adoption.  Petunia will need a special care giver, she is a nice little girl that loves car rides and always wants to be near her person.  All though Petunia is house trained she still needs to wear a diaper because of leaking urine.  It has been determined she most likely had the problem from birth or from the horrendous condition of her life the first year.  Petunia has been to specialists and we have tried to come up with a remedy to no avail.  Anyone considered for her adoption needs to know she has been through enough medical testing for one life time and will just need to except the status quo. Petunia is a great little girl but will need extra care to keep her and her surroundings clean.  Note:patients and love needed. Not a good pick for a first time pet owner, experience needed. For more complete information please contact   Gary@eskierescuers.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
