Story
I rescued this puppy from a bad situation. She lived in a kennel 20 plus hours a day. She was not allowed out but for short periods She is 10 months old now. A smart dog and very velcro. I have 6 dogs already and need to find her a good home. She will be up to date on shots, spayed and on flea prevention. She is still very much a puppy and easily trained. Will kennel at night. She tries to dominate my older dog and it is very stressful for her.

Story
Ugga is a 1 year old Pit mix who is very sweet and very energetic boy! Ugga loves people and is usually sporting a goofy grin that will make anyone smile! Ugga loves to stick out his tongue and give sweet, but sloppy, kisses! He does pull on the leash though and he will need a little bit of work with manners. However, he is such a happy boy that we think he would be very willing to learn if someone was just willing to teach. Ugga would love to find a family that he can go outside and play ball with, but he would also probably be pretty happy snuggled on the couch watching football on Saturdays!     The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.   Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Green Bean is a 2.5 year old Pit mix. This sweet boy has had a rough start to his life, but we are hoping that this time he can get a new 'leash' on life! Green Bean originally came to us in 2021 as a puppy. He was shy and thin, but with some work we were able to fatten him up and get him comfortable with people. He was adopted shortly after in early 2022. Since then, poor Green Bean has been abandoned numerous times, this last time being left by his owner when they moved to another state. Poor Green Bean is so confused as to why no one has given him a chance at forever! Green Bean is once again very skinny, and he will need some good groceries to bulk him back up to an appropriate weight. Even through all the hardships, Green Bean still loves EVERYONE! He loves people so so much. He is, however, in desperate need of training. Green Bean is active and has a lot of energy. He needs a patient family willing to work with him to help him be the best dog he can be! Green Bean needs lots of exercise and plenty of room to run around; he is not suitable for an apartment. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Junior is a 2 year old Pit/Hound mix. This sweet and energetic boy is all play, all the time! Junior is a goofy boy who hasn't had the best start to life. He came to us, skin and bones, with a deeply embedded collar. It's been a few months of giving Junior love and medical care, but he is finally ready for adoption! Junior currently still has a ring around his neck showing the scars from his past, but in time those will heal too. Junior is a very active boy and needs to find an active family. He has lots of youthful energy and needs to be able to have a yard to play in or regular visits to the park. We do not know how Junior does with other dogs, but we do not suggest him with small children. He can be a bit mouthy and also might knock them over without realizing it. Junior deserves a second chance at life, a chance where he can finally have the life he deserves! Story
Bookie is a very sweet 2 year old Pit mix who loves to smile and play! She enjoys sunbathing and has a cute little dance that she does when she gets excited.  She also likes treats, car rides, baths, ordering her own drinks, and meeting new people!  This beautiful girl can be a bit of a diva because she enjoys being a princess and does not always love to share that spotlight.  Bookie has had some trouble finding her furever home because she is selective on which other dogs she likes at the shelter, but she loved saying hello to the dogs we met around the Square and did great with the cats she was introduced to!  We would always suggest a meet-n-greet with any other dogs in the home.   Bookie would be an amazing addition to any family looking for a laid back cuddlebug, and would likely be very eager to learn some tricks! Bookie is a staff favorite here and we are all very excited to see her find her furever family! Story
Haggis is a small 5 month old Pit mix, and he is super fun and precious! This little boy is full of silly puppy energy, and is very playful. He has such an engaging personality, and is sure to make you laugh and smile while watching him play!  Haggis likes going from toy to toy, just to try each one out … it’s hard to say which toy is his favorite, because he seems to like them all! He has cute “worry lines” on his forehead, which change to a look of ecstatic joy once he is with you. Haggis can sometimes be mouthy while playing, so he may not be suitable for families with very young children until he has been trained properly. But he’s very young, and is still learning more manners. Haggis also seems to be smart, and has quickly learned the Sit command. Overall, Haggis is full of love and joy that he is more than willing to share with his favorite person(s). Is that you? Be sure to meet Haggis and find out! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
