Story
Dewayne is a 2.5 year old male Pit mix, and is a happy-go-lucky boy who can’t wait to meet you! This handsome guy is super happy while out on walks, and he shows it by strutting along with his adorable tail curled. Plus, he gives the biggest grins, as if he wants to share the joy with you … and believe us, his joy is contagious! Dewayne has expressive ears that range from bouncing while on walks, to flat down “seal ears” when grinning for the camera, to fully upright while he runs in the park. Dewayne can be strong on a leash when he first gets out of his cage, but it’s just his natural enthusiasm showing. After getting his initial energy out, he settles down and will follow your direction while walking. Dewayne loves his time in the fenced in park, where he enjoys a brief run to check out everything, followed by exploring any areas of interest. Dewayne also likes to chase toys, then playfully grab his favorite one and toss it in the air - he’s very entertaining to watch! This big pup is very sweet, friendly, and clearly loves being with people. Dewayne is so ready to find his people, the ones who will give him a great home filled with love. In return, he will provide you with happiness and loyal companionship to brighten your life. Please meet Dewayne soon! Story
Seraphina is a 2 year old female Pit mix, who has a gorgeous brindle coat that shines in the sun. She has a unique brindle color with silver highlights instead of gold, which helps her stand out. Seraphina is fairly laid back and very well-mannered, plus also good on a leash. This makes it easy to take her anywhere, whether it’s a leash walk through the neighborhood, lunch out with friends, or a vacation road trip. Seraphina may have outgrown her puppy energy, but she still enjoys short runs and some cute playfulness once she is in the park. And her expressive ears are a great indicator for what she finds interesting. Most of the time, though, she likes to stay close to wherever you are, which shows what a wonderful companion Seraphina will make. Now all she needs is the person(s) who will take her home, and give her a lifetime of good memories together. Be sure to meet Seraphina soon! Story
Little miss Nova here is a very sweet girl. She isn't sure about coming up to you, but always accepts love when you come to her! She is a little picky when it comes to her food. When she first came here, she would only eat canned food. We have gotten her to eat some dry kibble, but every so often, she decides she is a princess and demands the princess treatment! Speaking of princess treatment, she informed us she would love to be treated like a princess and promises to be a faithful passenger princess! All she requests is a nice comfy bed in her seat and she's good to go!

Story
We rescued her from a lady who had gotten divorced and Roxi was left with the ex husband due to her not being able to take her. She stated that if she went to shelter again she would be euthanized. We decided to do what we could with her. At first she didn’t like the female pets we already had, slowly they got used to each other. She still doesn’t care for our smaller females and chases cats. She is very rambunctious and energetic. Loves kids( we have a one year old) no issues there. She is a lover and wants to be a lap dog (which she thinks she is small enough to do). Does have a problem sometimes getting off the bed and limbs. Not sure why, maybe arthritis. Also more problematic is that she doesn’t realize that she pees when sleeping or just resting. ( I truly believe it isn’t intentional. We don’t know much more than that but we were told she is approximately five years old , she looks like boxer/ pit mixed and she is spayed. additionally she does sit when directed,

Jenny is our sweet pit mix. She is actually a special case to all of us here at the shelter. Jenny came to us severely malnourished she was so weak she could barley stand. So we took her in got her on a feeding schedule and within a week she was already goofing around like she wasn't malnourished at all. Within two weeks she looked like a whole new dog. Now she is healthy and ready to find her forever home. Jenny is housebroken, leash trained, and she knows basic commands. She loves to play with all toys. She is good with other dogs it just takes her a little bit to warm up to them. She is also great with kids the more they play the more she loves it.

Max is a very sweet pit mix that loves nothing more than to play as much as possible, but gets distracted by the wind starting to blow. He will stay in place as long he is getting love or treats. Once he's not getting either of those he goes to find any toy so he can entertain himself. Until something distracts him AGAIN, and he forgets what he was doing.
