Story
Angel is a loving and affectionate Bull Terrier mix (not a Pit Bull) who thrives on attention. She’ll nudge you for head scratches and does her best to stay close, always trying to be by your side. Angel was diagnosed with Valley Fever before she fully grew, and although she was treated with medication, the disease affected her back legs, leaving her with a noticeable limp that the vet says will be permanent. Despite this, she remains a happy, spirited dog.Her Valley Fever is currently in remission, and she is no longer on medication. Angel has a big, bold voice and isn’t shy about using it to communicate. She’s also quite protective of her home and yard, making sure everything feels safe and secure!

Story
Our lovely Phoenix ‍  She has survived so much in her short time alive. She came to Pathways after being dumped the day after Thanksgiving. We could tell she had not had the best past. Despite the multiple scars on her body, her fur feels like velvet and once comfortable, she’s a gentle loving girl‍. Her wonderful foster is giving Phoenix her space to come out of her shell and learn what affection is. Phoenix is still learning that humans are not all bad. She still gets scared when meeting new people, but she is not aggressive. She simply cowers, barks a bit and retreats to her safe space.  Phoenix seems to have been only an outdoor dog. While she is learning the comforts provided inside, she does love her time outdoors. Phoenix will need assistance with leash training to grow her confidence. She gets nervous easily and try’s to get away quickly when she gets scared.  We are hoping to find an empathetic and patient home for Phoenix to continue to grow in. She currently lives with a small foster brother and has done well with kids. She is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. We believe she is a little over a year old.  Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours. Story
We are heartbroken to have to find a new home for our beloved pup here in Tucson. Bailey is a 6 year old 75 lb cuddle bug. She is well-trained, walks/hikes easily, and was my running buddy. She has been territorial with the baby; lunging and trying to nip. We’ve done 7 months of private training, and she is extremely well behaved 99.9% of the time. We can’t take the small chance she will bite him. She has been nothing but friendly with kids she has met, but we believe she would do best in a home with older kids due to her size. She’d also be the perfect dog for someone who works long hours and needs a playmate on the evenings and weekend. She is kennel trained. She does need to be an only pet. She is territorial around her food. She currently lives with a cat, but was not friendly to a kitten we tried to bring home and had to return. She is happy cuddling on the couch or floor. Prior to the baby arrival we trained her off the couch and bed.

Story
Camila will be 5yrs old this year. She is potty and kennel trained. She's fixed and is up to date with all her shots. Her basic obedience training consists of sit, stay, down, paw, etc. She loves to be outside sun bathing, playing fetch in the yard and absolutely loves to swim. She has so much character and is truly a wonderful little girl. We're looking to rehome her to a single family home, preferably with older children and no other pets. Please reach out if you're interested. Thanks.

Story
Toby is a very sweet, very active boy. We are guessing on his breed bases on his size, power, and the fact that he is very vocal. He is incredibly sweet but not very bright. We would keep him but we have already have a smallish dog that gets hurt when they play together because Toby doesn't seem to understand how big and strong he is. Right now he is spending most of his time in a heavy duty kennel and we want very much to see him on a ranch or farm with other bigger animals with tons of room to run. He does have some skin allergies but other than that he seems very healthy. He needs someone strong enough to handle him as well. I am disabled and he is way too strong for me. We are so excited to see him happy in a safe forever home.

Story
Meet Cade!! He LOVES to give kisses, is an amazing sleeping/cuddle buddy (you are his pillow), will follow you everywhere and be your shadow… just an all around chill dog. His favorite past times are barking at bunnies and patrolling the yard. Cade wandered into my yard a year ago and I found out that he had JUST been adopted from PACC and the new owner would not answer our communications. I know nothing of his history but during his time here with me he has been great. I am making this horribly difficult decision to rehome him because my girl dogs have suddenly gotten into fights in the last couple of months. He was great with my two girls and wasn’t the instigator but he has joined in on the fights, making it almost impossible to separate them. I’ve had the girls since they were puppies and I’m hoping it being just them again will restore the balance. Cade is a simple dog and doesn’t need much…he just wants to be loved and give love!!

Story
Lola was found on the side of the road. All we know is that she is micro-chipped, spayed, was adopted from a rescue , and is vaccinated to an extent. When we contacted the owner of the dog he stated he did not want her, we believe he may have dropped her off. She is very sweet, playful, chill, and active. She appears to be young, anywhere from 1-3 years old. She seems to be okay with kids and other dogs as far as we have seen. We are looking for a good promising home.

Story
Kodak is 5 years old and was adopted originally from Pima Animal Care Center. He was suppose to be a second dog to be a friend to the one I already had but unfortunately he now has to be separated from the other. He is friendly with kids and cats, however he does not get along with other dogs. He is friendly with people however upon meeting he does bark. He is a very sweet boy with a lot of love and joy to give, sadly I am not able to provide for him and my other dog in the way they both need. Kodak loves to go on walks, play fetch, and is very loyal. He loves being with his people. He does have separation anxiety, although given the proper love and care he deserves would help immensely with that. I am looking for someone who has the time, love, and patience for Kodak and does not have any other dogs. In the past he got along with a small female pit who was under my care, but he has a hard time playing gentle. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Story
Hello, My name is Estevan. I had adopted a puppy from PACC about 6 months ago and everything was going well. I introduced him to my current dog slowly and they get along well. My issues lately have been the dog escaping out of the yard and new people coming over he is doing what dogs do which is bark and protect, but he has already nipped and lunged at a few family members along with my daughters friends. I have to put him on a leash or kennel him as a precaution when people come over and he has to run around outside while I'm out there so he doesn't jump the fence or go under. It's not a good way for the dog to enjoy running around but I'm all out of options and don't have the means to pay from training classes. He is a great dog and would be good with someone who can put in the time to train him and have a yard that is a little more secure. I don't want to give him up but with all the circumstances I feel the dog will be a liability by escaping or actually injure someone.
