Story
Meet me at the mobile adoption event on Saturday, July 6th at Woodlands Pet Store Mill Valley from 12-3pm (unless adopted before 3pm). An onsite sign-in sheet will open one hour before the event.(I'm being fostered in the East Bay)Hi! My name is King. I'm a very handsome boy looking for a new home! I came to Marine Humane because my first family could no longer keep me due to a housing situation.I am 7 years old, and a good deal trained. I know how to sit, stay, lie down, and shake. Even though I love to eat, I do not hoard food. I will sit patiently while you prepare my food and my foster brother and I eat close to each other. I am crate trained and will let you know with gentle whines when I need to go potty.I have only had one family since I was a pup. My first family were of the older human age and could only take me on walks, but no parks. I did meet other dogs during walks, but it was only nose-to-nose, no play time. Because I have had little interaction with other dogs I am still learning how to socialize. My foster brother is showing me how to respect dog boundaries. I still do not totally understand boundaries and that can be rough on other animals that like their space or are smaller than me. My foster father has to gently introduce me to new foods but once I know it is food I will eat anything. I recently discovered peanut butter and I am still learning how to get treats from a kong toy. Right now, everything seems new to me, and I get very excited. But once I get familiar, I like to just lie down and relax.Because a lot of things are still new, I don't always know how to react. I get very excited and this can be difficult for some. I know I look big and can be too rough sometimes, but I just want to show love. I know with patience and care I will be the best dog for you. Story
Meet Nala, a sweet and loyal adult dog who is currently residing in a shelter. Her affectionate nature and steadfast loyalty make her an ideal companion for anyone seeking a loving pet. She loves people and adored a dog-savvy 8-year-old boy, so we think she would love to be in a home with dog-savvy kids. Nala does not want to be left alone in a yard and will make her displeasure known by barking. Her new family should not leave her in the yard, they should teach her to be OK inside the house when they leave. Despite her current circumstances, Nala's spirit remains unbroken, and she eagerly awaits the day she can share her love with a forever family. Adopting Nala means gaining a faithful friend who will provide unconditional love and companionship. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 51 Age: 3yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet Sugar Pop! Sugar is looking for her happily-ever-after with dog parents who are willing to help train and socialize her. She has a wary side when it comes to strangers, but with the right amount of treats and loving, she is a total treat to have around. She will make sure to be the most loyal, and goofy best friend you'll ever need. Sugar does great with commands, especially when the treats are available. She is good with most dogs, but would do best on individual play dates to help her warm up to new human individuals. Sugar would prefer an adult only home with dog experience that can give her the TLC she deserves as she works on becoming the confident girl she strives to be.

Story
Riley is a 41 lb, 5 year old sweet girl that is looking for a home that will give her love, stability, a safe space, and training. She has been in and out of shelters for many years, through no fault of her own, and needs a chance to decompress, acclimate, and given the chance to be a part of a loving family. She is highly treat motivated, athletic, and whip smart. She is good with kids, but is a bit rough and would do best with ones that are older and dog savvy. Shy at first, Riley bonds quickly to her humans and does well with slow introductions to other dogs. She is very playful, has loads of energy, but also knows how to cuddle up at the end of the day. As with many shelter dogs, Riley is an excellent candidate for consistent training and a family that can help her reach her potential. Come visit us and meet Riley!
