Story
Meet Razzles, a sweet and loving dog with a heartbreaking story that tugs at the heartstrings. Confiscated in June 2024, Razzles endured a painful wait as her case wound its way through the court system, leaving her in limbo for three long months. Imagine the uncertainty and fear she faced during that time, longing for a loving home while trapped in a situation completely out of her control. Now that she has finally been released for adoption, Razzles is ready to start anew, but the scars of her past still linger. This gentle soul has captured the hearts of our staff and volunteers with her skinny, wiggly frame and sweet disposition, but she deserves so much more than just our love—she deserves a forever family. Razzles is incredibly treat motivated, and it's hard not to smile when you see her light up when she see treat in your hand or pocket. However, her journey has made her selective with female dogs; she does well with male dogs but isn't compatible with cats. Every day she waits for a loving home feels like an eternity, and we can’t help but feel the weight of her longing. Can you help us to ensure that Razzles doesn’t have to wait any longer? She’s ready to give her heart to a family that will cherish her—and she deserves that chance. Let’s find her the loving home she’s been dreaming of 🙏🐾❤️

Story
Ghost is an affectionate, energetic pup who thrives on companionship and loves being close to his people. Whether it’s curling up beside you, resting his head on your chest, or trying to sneak into the shower with you, he always wants to be part of the action. He’s incredibly sweet and loving, but he also has bursts of extreme excitement—especially when it’s time to go outside. Ghost gets so eager for walks or yard time that he’ll try to rush out the door, so he needs a firm hand to help him learn patience and control. Once out on a walk, he pulls quite a bit at first but settles into a better rhythm after some time. With consistent training and plenty of exercise, he has the potential to be an excellent walking or adventure buddy. Ghost’s high energy means he’s best suited for a home without small children for now, as he doesn’t always realize his size and can be a bit of a whirlwind when excited. He’s been around other dogs, including his foster’s family dogs, and has done well with proper introductions, so he could likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. While he was a bit anxious early on and chewed a few things, he has since settled in and has not been destructive for months. He’s trustworthy when left alone, loves car rides (though he benefits from a secured leash for safety), and enjoys a good bath. Ghost would do best in an active home with a family or individual who is around often and can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. A yard to run in and frequent walks or activities would help him burn off energy and continue his progress in learning manners. With structure, patience, and the right environment, Ghost will be an incredibly fun, loving, and loyal companion!

Story
Cornbread Fred is the perfect companion—sweet, silly, and sensitive with impeccable manners. He adores people and other creatures, always bringing joy wherever he goes. This handsome boy walks beautifully in his anti-pull harness, using his low, gentle bark only when necessary. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows “sit,” “down,” and “stay” (though he could use a little extra “stay” practice 🙂). Ever the polite pup, he waits for you to pass through a door before following. Cornbread Fred has a playful side—he loves flavored Nylabones (except chicken due to a food sensitivity), plushies (with supervision), romping in the yard, and tussling with willing playmates. He still has some puppy energy but settles quickly, often napping in his floor lounge or curling up beside you on the couch with his head in your lap. A true gentleman, he recently visited a nursing home, soaking up affection and calmly chewing a bone during a resident meeting. He’d thrive in a home with a person or family who enjoys daily walks or playtime and doesn’t mind an affectionate shadow—because wherever you are, he is! Cornbread Fred would do well in a home where someone is around often or with another dog or cat to keep him company. Due to his occasional bursts of energy, a family with children 10+ and dogs over 20 lbs may be preferable, but with training, he’s capable of being even more gentle. This loving, joyful pup is ready to be your loyal best friend!

Story
Meet Buckety (aka Buck) “ The Ultimate Best Friend! Buck is a 1.5-year-old bundle of love with a heart as big as his personality! Originally, I only planned to foster him for a few days during a big storm in early January, but after seeing how sweet, playful, and loving he is, I just couldn’t bring him back to the shelter. He had already spent two months there, and this boy deserved more! Buck is a fast learner and has picked up so many things in such a short time. He knows sit, down, wait, and even has great recall! He patiently waits before eating, going outside, and even before crossing the road. He loves playing fetch ”but be warned, he prefers if you do the chasing to get the ball back! This affectionate pup is amazing with other dogs and absolutely loves to snuggle with them. He’s also great with kids, playing gently and showing just the right mix of energy and sweetness. Recently, he played tug-of-war with a 9-year-old, making sure to keep it fun and fair. Buck has been the best foster brother to Delmar, another foster dog, always up for a game of chase or tug-of-war. Inside, they wrestle and steal each other’s toys, and outside, they zoom around the yard like they’re training for a doggy Olympics. Recently neutered, Buck is recovering well and continues to be his happy, loving self. He’s the kind of dog who will love you unconditionally, keep you entertained, and be your best buddy. Could Buck be your new best friend? Reach out and let’s find this amazing pup his forever home!
