This gorgeous girl is so lucky to be alive! We were driving down a busy four lane highway when we spotted her run across the highway barely missing getting run down by a large box truck. She ran into the parking lot of a Dollar General so we immediately pulled into the parking lot and luckily she ran up to our van and jumped right in! We tried and tried to find her owner but to no avail. It's hard to see in the pics but she has one blue eye and one golden eye. We suspect she had a little Husky in her but we did a DNA anyway, lots and lots of breeds in her DNA, including 5% Chihuahua! She's a super mutt! Clarice is spayed, fully vaccinated, crate trained and microchipped. Story

Ruthie's story is very sad. Her owners (never found) tied her to a telephone pole at a gas station in the middle of the night on a cold winter's night. Two young men who pulled in to get gas early in the morning saw her and took her into their car. They then contacted us to see if we could take her in. She was so scared and freezing cold she just cowered in fear for about a week. We are convinced that she was physically abused as well. Little by little she started to come out of her shell. We left her in our nursery building for a few weeks because we thought she may be pregnant. It was obvious that she had had a litter at some point in her life. Turns out she wasn't pregnant so we put her in with the general population where she has thrived. She loves playing with the puppies, she's great with cats and wonderful with children as all Pitties are. She has been spayed, is heart worm negative, fully vaccinated, crate trained and house broken to a doggie door. She is small for a Pittie so we call her a "Pocket Pittie" Ruthie needs her forever home, could that be you? She is ready for immediate transport. Larry our hugger! If you’re ever feeling lonely, and you need a shoulder to cry on, Larry is your boy. He loves to give hugs and will put his paws and little legs around your neck and his head right into your shoulder and just make everything better. Larry is a 1.5 year old handsome boy that is just all around perfect. Between his hugging and his love for cuddling, he is a doggy that you will never be able to get enough of. He has more love to give than most humans. This sweet boy was left in a makeshift chicken pen when his owners moved. There was no food, no water and minimal shelter. His owners left him and his brothers to fend for themselves. The neighbors would feed them as much as they could, but nothing was steady or guaranteed. They were so skinny when a good Samaritan got word of the situation and went out there to check on them. All 3 brothers were so ecstatic to see humans. Larry loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with other dogs or without them. He loves to play and run around the yard – he will share his toys even if the other dog(s) don’t ask him to. He is generous with how caring he is, even with other dogs. While he loves to play, he is a perfect balance of active and mellow. He is just as happy going on a walk or running around the yard as he is lying down inside, sunbathing or just relaxing anywhere that he deems worthy. Larry loves to go on car rides! He is house and crate trained. Larry is currently in boarding, but he had been in a foster home where he was loving the home life and being a house doggy. Larry would do great with children as he is just an all-around awesome boy. He is playful, but gentle, smart, loving, loyal, kind, and perfect. Larry is neutered, heart worm negative, current on rabies vaccine, bordatella vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormed and microchipped. He will be issued a health certificate from a veterinarian prior to transport that gives him a clean bill of health.
