I adopted Lily back in October 2024. She is a very energetic and happy pup but she needs more attention and training than what I can give her. She does not get along with our older dog, and I would recommend a home without other pets. Once she is bonded to you she gets jealous very easily. I do have children and she has never been aggressive towards them but with her energy she does jump on them. I know that if she had the correct person and training that she would be a great dog to have. I hate that I don’t have the time for her, but I hope to find someone that does.

She also loves to relax and lounge around but can be a little anxious at times. When she gets excited, she may have occasional accidents, but with patience and routine, she does well. Unfortunately, due to our busy schedules and her struggles with separation anxiety, we can no longer provide the time and attention she truly deserves. Ice is a certified sweet boy! He loves people so much and wants to spend all day with his people! He is about 5 years old and was adopted in December. At first, we were able to handle my work schedule fairly well but now I can see that he is very unhappy. He wants his people to be around as much as possible but I can't due to work. He also loves being outside and would benefit greatly from someone who is fairly active. He does love being a coach potato after a long walk! He cannot be in a home with cats at all. He knows sit and crate super well and is doing well with shake. He is quiet a majority of the time but when he hears someone outside or pulling into the driveway, he will let you know! Adoption fee is 50 but for 175 I can give all of his stuff along with him (crate, food bowls, any food and treats).

My name is Princess and I am just that - royalty! I came to the shelter when my previous owners could no longer care for me and I am looking for my next home. I came in with several other dogs that I seem to get along with well. Come meet me today! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you`ll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.Insights from my adventure buddies and foster family:`Princess is one of the sweetest gals you`ll ever meet! ...She is SUPER gentle. She greets people low and slow, but immediately gives all the humans she meets lots of affection and so many kisses! I think this would make her a great family dog.She did well riding in the car. I did have to help her into the car (she`s a lot lower to the ground than she looks in pictures). Once in the car, she laid down right away and just snoozed for most of the ride.Princess spent the snowy weekend at my apartment and she did great. She was a total couch potato and was happy spending the whole weekend napping next to her people (or on their lap, lol). She is food motivated and picks up commands quickly. She also had no major problems on the leash. She did pull on the leash, but was easily redirected. She did not pay much attention to squirrels, deer, or other dogs while on the leash.Princess and my dog were kept apart out of caution - they did bark when they saw each other. I

INSIGHTS FROM MY FOSTER:`Roscoe is a sweet, big-headed boy who wants to cuddle. He loves a vigorous walk, and if you`re lucky he will show off his speed with some post-walk zooms around the house. Once he`s tuckered out, he just wants to sit in the coziest spot in the house--a nice soft bed or couch--and wedge himself as close as physically possible to the nearest available human. If you earn his trust, he will invite you to rub his belly. His favorite activities include his snuffle mat and rough-housing with his stuffed frog. Though he looks like a tough guy, he is, in fact, a giant and respectful baby. Here are a few things other things that might be good for a potential adopter to know:-Roscoe is a bit of an anxious boy. He didn`t like when he was separated from a human by a door or when he wasn`t sure whether he was invited onto the couch. -When he gets bored, he tends to whine until he gets his way--though it`s not always clear what he wants! I suspect Roscoe would respond well to a lot of routine and plenty of opportunities for stimulation and play. (He`s good at playing with a toy by himself.)-He`ll need some training for leash walking because he sometimes pulls and he`s strong. He showed signs of being trainable on this front, so maybe this is something that a potential adopter could work with him on. -He is always very interested in other dogs on walks. He pulls to get to them, although he never barks and does not seem aggressive. -In general, Roscoe seems smart and very trainable. He knows SIT and DOWN, and seems to enjoy training sessions. -We had him for about 6 days and did not try leaving him alone, so we`re not sure how he`d handle that-He seems fully housetrained`We recommend slow, planned, monitored introductions to any people or pets in a new home.
