Story
- She's truly the perfect size for most homes. She's small enough that you can easily pick her up - 35 lbs. (and she doesn't mind being picked up when you need to do it), but has a "big dog" personality (not yappy or nervous at all).Basic Information:- house-trained- crate-trained (but doesn't NEED to be in a crate - she's perfectly safe when left loose in the house)- peppy when she's outside, but calm inside the house- snuggly - loves to sit on your lap- playful - giver her a good toy and she's happy for a long time (heck, she's even happy to chase her tail if she's got no toys around)- adorable - her little tongue is too big for her mouth, so about an inch of the tip often hangs out; extremely cute- would love to get on the furniture, but doesn't mind when you say no (i.e., she listens to you)- food-driven, so she's good at training, but not so food-driven that she tries to get the food off your plate (see above she listens well)- only barks when she hears the doorbell or noises outside (in other words, not a nervous dog that barks at everything)- independent - she is not needy in the least; at the same time, she's loving and excited to see you/be with you when you come homeLayla will do well with a house without children and will need a compatibility test with another dog. She gets along well with some and not so well with others. If you are interested in adopting Layla, please visit www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.com/adopt. ##973536##

Story
Shelby is believed to be a Labrador-Pittie mix, which is honestly a dream combination; the fun of a Labrador and the smushy cuddles of a pitty! Her webbed paws are hilariously big for her body, and she lives for a summer swim! Shelby is the type of dog that you’ll need an extra 5 minutes with. While we don’t know the details of her past, we do know that she had enough experiences with NC’s finest to distrust humans. Shelby might initially bark or do a little nervous jig, but this sweet girl emerges in just a few minutes and she is worth the wait! Now that we’ve tried to sell you on Shelby, it’s YOUR turn to sell yourself TO Shelby. Shelby will need three or more of the following adopter qualities before she unpacks her bags and calls it home:1) Seven bedroom mansion by the lake, complete with pool and dock for optimal swimming opportunity (okay, a walk to the river or lake will also do...we guess)2) Netflix subscription. Shelby is currently rewatching The Office for the 8th time3) Comfy bed to allow for optimal cuddles4) TREATS. All of the treats.5) A canine companion for company and cardio (Wrestlemania ??)6) A human with ideal arm strength for belly scratches and leg strength for those lake walks (see item 7) Toys. We’re talking squeaky, fluffy, rope, rubber, whatever! Shelby’s quote: “Forever is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning. Help me find my forever.”If you are interested in adopting Shelby, please visit www.pincdogrescue.com/adopt and submit an adoption application. Hogan is an adorable little pocket pittie still looking for his forever home. He loves other dogs, loves to run and play and very food motivated and eager to learn!  Hogan does have a little bit of a fearful side if cornered so we do not recommend him being in a home with young children. ##983071##

Story
Atlas is a two year old, male, pitbull. My wife and I rescued him in March of 2024. He was in urgent need of medical attention at the time and we made several vet trips to get him healthy. We had hopes of integrating him into our original pack of four dogs but he never adapted with our two males which is why we are rehoming him. He does get along with our female dogs. He is a very active boy that loves to fetch balls, tug ropes, go on car rides, and cuddles. I am not charging a rehoming fee but the adoptee must meet and show certain requirements to ensure he is going to a forever loving home. Requirements include: Adoptee must have a fenced in yard. Adoptee must be someone that he will be home with most of the time such as someone that is an early retiree, someone that works from home, or a home maker.

Story
Tilly is a very sweet, loving and playful dog. She loves everyone she meets and is great with other dogs. She can be stubborn but she is trained and uses an E-Collar. She loves to go on walks (she is great on the leash and does not pull) and play in the yard but can also be a huge couch potato. Tilly is about 2.5 years old and spent 2 months in a board and train program. Unfortunately she needs to be rehomed due to my other dog’s behavioral issues toward Tilly. She has never been around children or cats so I am not sure how she would do with them. She comes with her crate, 2 beds, leash, collar, E-Collar, toys, food, and 2 months of heartworm, flea and tick prevention.

Story
Meet Chestnut! This sweet handsome boy is looking for his forever home. Chestnut is about 6 months old, 30 lbs, and may be sweetest little guy there ever was. He walks well on a leash and enjoys exploring outdoors, playing with a toy, and just being near his people. He likes to follow his person around just to make sure you don’t go anywhere. Chestnut is doing well with house/crate training and is eager to please. He will thrive with more training and consistency in order to live the best doggie life he deserves. Chestnut runs a little nervous so is slow to warm up to new people but after he does he’s yours for life! If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, loyal pup and are willing to put in the time for training, you and Chestnut may be a great fit! If you are interested in adopting Chestnut, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  March 10, 2025, 5:31 pm

Story
Meet Blueberry – Your New Best Friend!  This beautiful girl is Blueberry, an 18-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who’s as sweet as can be! She currently weighs around 50 pounds but could stand to gain a little more weight to reach her healthiest size. Blueberry is a loving and devoted mom, having recently given birth to four adorable puppies on January 6th. Thankfully, some kind-hearted people found her and provided her with a warm, safe place to stay until she made her way into the rescue. Blueberry’s Personality: Blueberry is a fantastic mom and has done an amazing job caring for her pups, but she’s now ready to find her own forever family. This loving girl is very people-oriented and enjoys being near her human companions. She’s currently working on her crate training and house training, and she’s also learning how to play and have fun like any young pup should! In her foster home, she’s been wonderful with the other dogs and is adjusting well to her new environment. Blueberry has a calm, affectionate temperament and would be a great addition to any household. What Blueberry Needs:  Though she’s been an amazing mom, Blueberry is now ready to find a family of her own. She has not yet been exposed to children, so we recommend a home where her new family can provide her with the care, patience, and structure she needs to continue learning and growing. As part of her adoption contract, Blueberry will be spayed when she’s healthy enough to undergo the procedure. Blueberry is a loving, loyal dog who will thrive in a family that is ready to shower her with attention and affection. She’s ready to make a fresh start and give her new family all the love she has to offer. If you are interested in adopting Blueberry, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
Suzie is approximately a 7 year old pitbull mix weighing about 60lbs. She is fully vaccinated and now looking for her forever family. She’s been with her foster mom and trainer Lilly now for 9 months. Can you believe she’s had zero applications?  Suzie loves people and loves to be close by and be pet. She’s loved to cuddle up on the couch or on her dog bed. She is easily entertained with bully sticks, benebones, and toys. She loves to sunbathe in the backyard and lay where ever the sun hits and will gladly accept a belly rub while doing so. She is crate trained, house trained, and sleeps quietly in the crate any time needed. She rides well in the car in a car kennel. She has a goofy personality with lots of silly behavior that will keep you laughing all day. She has done well with all the dogs she has met and been with.  She loves meal times and will come in from outside doing her "bunny hops". Look out for her classic "sassy" lip smack. She is very gentle when taking treats and knows most basic commands. She's doing well with bath time and grooming. She loves going for car rides and taking walks to sniff all the new smells. Car rides and walks are definitely high on her list of favorite things (besides snacks). She is also working on other commands like place, here, heel and wait. She does well passing other dogs and gets along well with other dogs in the house.  Sassy has high prey drive for small critters like rabbits or wildlife, so she would do best in a home with no cats and at least a 5 foot fence. While Suzie hasn't spent much 1 on 1 time with kids, her friendly nature suggests she would be good with them. She has done well passing play grounds and athletic fields. If you’re looking for an older, laid back dog, with a funny personality and sweet as could be, look no further. Suzie is eagerly waiting to finally call a place of her own “home”.  Suzie will also come with 4 free continued training sessions with dog trainer Lilly Staudt (with KeenDog training in Charlotte, NC) If you are interested in Suzie, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comMarch 8, 2025, 8:31 pm
