Story
We adopted Bruno from a neighbor about two years ago. He was born on April 9, 2021, so bruno is currently three years old. We're looking for a new home that can provide a loving and safe environment, preferably with a family that has experience with pets. Our pet is friendly, energetic, and affectionate. They enjoy playing and are great with children and other animals as well adopted his brother from the same neighbor a year later

Story
Adopted at 8 weeks old with his older brother Bruno, Olympus has grown up to be a loving American Pit Bull Terrier. Although he's full of energy and loves to play, he has a gentle nature and is very kid-friendly. He has a playful personality and often thinks he is just 5 lbs, which makes him adorable and endearing. Olympus would make a wonderful addition to any home, especially one that can appreciate his boundless enthusiasm and affection.

Story
Meet Theo, a 2-year-old, 70-pound Staffie mix with a big bully head and an even bigger heart. Despite a rough start in life-found chained and left to die at an abandoned home-Theo has blossomed into a kind and sweet companion. He's playful but not overly energetic, making him the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Theo is a champion cuddler and loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite humans on the couch. He has not yet met a stranger, and especially loves children. While he gets along with some dogs including his two foster brothers, he prefers a home without cats or other small animals. Theo is ready to bring warmth and joy to his forever family. Story
Nova is a sweet dog that loves adventures. We got her about a year ago from a shelter, and she took a while to get adjusted. She was not house-trained when we got her, and we started training. We made progress, but we then fell off when we had full home renovations and our new baby was born. I can no longer physically keep up, and she has stayed in a sunroom/outdoor space while baby and I heal. We thought it was temporary, but our home still has massive renovations, and I am in need of more surgery. While it's a sad situation, I think it would be best for her to go to a family with more time to dedicate to her. She has been good with our other kids, although she often gets a bit too excited with them. With more training, she would be a perfect family dog. She loves the outdoors and playing with other dogs. She is spayed, but I have not been able to get her vaccines updated recently due to everything going on.

Story
Ghetti is a 2-3 year old American Bully. She was found running stray with another dog in WV. Spaghetti AKA Ghetti is as cute as they come! She's about 35-40lbs of beautiful bully. She does have some quirks(mainly her fearfulness of men and general shyness). BUT, she has made great strides since being in foster and we have every ounce of confidence that she will continue to flourish in the right home. An added bonus is that she comes with FREE ongoing support from the rescue's certified behavior consultant. In foster, she has become extremely close with the male in the home after her intial fearful behavior of him. The key with her is time, patience, space and understanding. She's really just learning about humans and it's important to continue to make her feel safe. Once she feels safe and trusts you, WATCH OUT! She will crawl into your lap and cuddle like you've never seen. She may even show you her goofy side which is so fun to see! Ghetti may need several meet and greets if you are male or have a male in your home, so if you're impatient or pushy DON'T APPLY. She would do best in a home with a calm male dog or as the only dog, no cats or small animals, respectful kids aged 10 and up. Her ideal home would be on the calm/quiet side. She really loves walks, so if you like walking or hiking in areas with low traffic and noise...she would love to be your hiking partner! She will need someone that isn't scared to advocate for her...meaning that you will need to be able to tell people, "Hey, please give her some space, she's shy." ...or put her in a crate with something yummy if you're having people over and you feel she might not be comfortable. Someone that is willing to always put Ghetti's feelings and best interest first, so that she can continue to learn to trust the world would be amazing! She is not a dog park dog nor would she enjoy outings with people everywhere. Some of her favorite things include: walks in the woods, food, SNUGGLES, treat puzzles and confidence building games, couch potato-ing and car rides. She does well in her crate and hasn't had any potty training issues. If you think you can be an advocate to protect her and her feelings and love her little hippo self, SHE WILL GIVE YOU THAT LOVE BACK TENFOLD! She is special and deserves someone special...reach out if you think that someone special is you!  ##1541407##

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Buttercup, 2yr old, spayed female, pitbull mix, 51 pounds. Buttercup resides in Houston, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Buttercup was saved from the county shelter and was housed with another dog, and went into a foster home with other pups. She was able to do integrate well but, because of her hearing impairment, she gets startled easily and becomes very defensive when surprised. It is not that she cannot be around other dogs but she needs time to feel comfortable and secure before letting her guard down. To alleviate this, we have found putting up a fence/x-pen and allowing her to see/"meet" the dogs before being let loose with them works best for Buttercup. Buttercup has learned some basic obedience using hand signals and tactile marks, and has learned to connect seeing other dogs with a long tap on her right shoulder. Her ideal home would be one who sees her hearing challenges as an opportunity to connect on a deeper level with her and will take the time to train Buttercup, whether on their own or through professional courses. Buttercup is very human friendly and affectionate. She's a gentle lovebug working to navigate her way through this world with the guidance of her human. She would do best with kids 10 years or older due to her size and hearing issues, which may result in her being startled by young kids. Buttercup is a solid 4/10 level dog - she can be playful and excited but her default is to sit back and watch, assess. She is well mannered and doesn't beg, and is overall easy to handle on the leash, with minimal reactivity on walks. She is fully house and crate trained, and enjoys snoozing in bed or riding in a car for adventures. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PHEOBE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Phoebe came from a wood mill property in Memphis. It was a dire/neglectful situation. We think she suffered from head trauma, which left her unable to walk on her own and pretty helpless. Her Memphis foster moms cared for her and kept her safe until she could be transported to Pittsburgh. Her northern foster parents got started on physical therapy right away. This has helped tremendously. She does treadmill therapy, and balancing exercises among other things. She has made huge strides and can walk with a wheelchair. She’s really feeling her independence! Adoption fee is waived at this time as we expect the adopter to continue with physical therapy. Our goal is to hopefully having her walk on her own one day. She’s gaining strength daily!

Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.
