Story
We got Zeus from a guy I work with who breeds pit bulls. He did not have room for him so I took him in out of kindness. He is the sweetest pitbull you have ever met. I have never seen him bite even when playing. We are moving and cannot find a place that will accept a pitbull. He is so well trained and beautiful! We are looking for a new home quickly.

Story
Max was going downhill in the shelter. I rescued him in hopes he would fit right in and give him a second chance. He is almost 2 years old. He gets along really well with other dogs but does not like cats. He is very loyal and knows a few commands. He walks on a leash extremely well. He just wants to be loved. Unfortunately, my home with a cat is not safe for him or for the cat.

Story
Teechee is named after the Cateechee Golf Course where she was found as a stray. The staff of the golf course made sure she was fed and tried to find her owners. When no one came forward, we knew we had to get her to safety. Teechee loves other dogs and will climb a fence to get to a playmate in the next yard. She is gentle and shows love to anyone who is kind to her. Teechee is known as our "nanny" dog as she absolutely loves children! While she is quite strong, she walks well on leash and is very eager to please! One of our caring volunteers took Teechee to training classes at our local PetSmart. She is now an obedience school graduate! If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, Teechee is your girl. ##1865896##

Diamond is a very loving dog, she actually a pit bull mixed with something. She’s 8 to 10 years old. I’ve had her 5 years. She likes to play tug of war and playing with tennis balls. When you feed her you have to make sure there’s no chicken in it, she has an allergy. She’s happier inside.

Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 5-month-old Catahoula mix with a unique personality and adorable looks. He has a long body, shorter legs, and floppy ears that make him stand out. When he first came to us, he had a broken leg and needed a splint for a few weeks, but thankfully, the splint is now off! Cooper has a sweet disposition and loves to keep you company. He enjoys going for strolls or cuddling on the bed. His favorite things include a fluffy, soft blanket and a cozy dog bed. He is great with children, other dogs, and new people. Cooper knows how to "sit" and is eager to please. If you’re interested in meeting him, please fill out an application! To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org
