Aria is a 1.5-year-old loving, high-energy, sweet, pit mix. She is crate trained and knows base commands (sit, eat, wait, etc.) and behaves very well once she's had a chance to play to release energy, so I'd definitely recommend a large yard. Her high energy levels can make her hard to manage so she needs an experienced owner who is prepared to give her time and attention. She plays well with young children and other animals, as long as she is supervised, to help make sure she doesn't get too excited or forget her size. I have been her only owner and had her since she was about 6 weeks, she is spayed and hasn't had any health concerns or incidents of aggression or biting. She has a very stern bark and gives good notice of anyone approaching the property. We are looking to give her to a long-term owner in preparation for an upcoming move as we will no longer be able to house her.

Hello I'm Thor! I may have the name of a superhero but deep down I just want to be loved. Since I lost my family Ive had a tough time. I lost my home after my original family went through an unforeseen tragedy and I was left without food or water for a week. I was very depressed for a long time and lived in a kennel for a while. I’ve been in and out of a couple foster homes but I haven't found my forever home yet. I know the right one is out there! I have been moved around a few times so I get really anxious in new homes. I need someone who is patient and is willing to give me a chance. I have a big heart and lots of love to share. My favorite hobbies? I like rolling in the grass, riding in the car, walks, yup-walks and more walks along with snuggling. It is my favorite “downtime” thing to do. Oh and I love to keep watch out the window. If you are busy, I am happy just to be around and watch, or nap, while you do human things. I have had some obedience work while living with fosters. I’ve learned to be crated. I really don't like it but a tasty treat will get me inside and once I'm in its naptime. I walk like a gentleman on the leash, but I do get excited seeing other dogs. I can be a little stubborn at times but I do well with firm but gentle verbal correction. What am I looking for in a home? I would prefer to be an only dog, so I can have all the attention. I get along with a lot of other dogs but not every dog. I have instantly loved every human female I have ever met, but not all men. I do have some favorite men in my life though. I just need to go slow with new guys. Trust is really important to me. My biggest need is to have a the security of a home and humans that give me love and attention.
