Story
Treble was found as a stray hanging from a fence by his back leg. No broken bones were found, however, he had significant swelling and necrotic tissue in his leg. In the end, his right hind leg had to be amputated. He may only have 3 legs but he doesn't need any special requirements. He can use the litter box on his own just fine. He is very shy and slow to warm up to new environments and new places but he loves attention and will sit there and purr away while you love on him.

Story
Abby is an energetic and fun-loving cat! At three years old, she's just as adorable as she was as a kitten, and she still has plenty of curiosity and an uncanny ability to get into mischief. She's always looking for the next thing to do. So we feel Abby needs an experienced adopter who can keep her safe and healthy! We also feel she would do best in an adult-only household. Abby is very affectionate. She loves kisses, hugs, and sitting/snoozing on her foster mom's lap. Abby was rescued with her sister, Ariel, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Abby tends to have a "take charge" personality, but she gets along with everyone. She would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home. The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Since HPC visits the home during that time, potential adopters need to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota (Florida) area.

Story
Ariel is not only a beautiful cat, she's also unique! She has a small black "beard" and a short tail and looks very similar to a Japanese Bobtail, even though that breed isn't reflected in her DNA report. She's half American Domestic Cat with lower percentages of Norwegian Forest Cat, Highlander, Scottish Fold, and Siamese/Oriental Cat. At three years old, Ariel really isn't a kitten any more, but she's still energetic and curious. She loves to play, and "the zoomies" are part of her daily exercise routine. She has also become very affectionate and loves to cuddle in her foster mom's lap. Ariel was rescued with her sister, Abby, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Ariel gets along with everyone. She would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home. The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Story
Belle is a rescue, adopted Summer of 2020. She is 4 yrs old, DOB 6/10/2020, an only cat. High spirited, playful, sweet but independant. Belle loves to stalk lizards, birds, squirrels, and rabbits through the window to the patio and on the lanai. She will escape through any open door at every opportunity. She has developed behavioral issue of urinating outside the box (on area rugs, blankets, and now beds). Vet ran all tests and she is healthy- no infections, bladder, or kidney problems. I've tried larger and more litter boxes, moving them, putting them back. Changing litter made the issue worse. There have been no changes or anything (or anyone) new to the home. I absolutely love her and will miss her terribly; however, I just can't deal with this behavior or the associated expense any longer. I'm hoping that someone with more experience and patience than I have can give her a new home and a fresh start. Perhaps she would do better as an outdoor cat?! Thank you for looking!

Story
Introducing Thumper, an adorable little orange kitten born on March 6th under our care. He's part of a litter of three, born to their loving mom whom we took in at the end of December. Thumper has been raised with affection in a cozy home environment and is already showing signs of being a playful and loving companion. This adventurous boy is already mastering the litter box and enjoys both wet and dry food. Thumper is a bundle of energy, always ready for a romp or a game of chase with his siblings. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with our other cat and two dogs. We're on the lookout for a forever family that will give Thumper the love, care, and attention he deserves. We're seeking a responsible owner who will keep him indoors, arrange for his neutering at the appropriate time, and make him a cherished member of their family. Reach out to us today to learn more about this lovable kitten and schedule a meet-and-greet.

Story
Meet Goose, a sweet and affectionate cat who we estimate to be about one year old. Rescued as a stray in December, Goose was pregnant and has since raised her kittens in our home. She quickly adapted to her new surroundings and has shown immense gratitude through gentle purrs and head nudges. Goose loves nothing more than getting head scratches and being petted. She enjoys snuggling up with her humans, curling into a cozy ball and purring contentedly. Goose is very food motivated and eagerly comes running at mealtime. She also enjoys stretching her claws on the cat tree, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Goose gets along well with other cats and dogs, showing great adaptability and social skills. Now that her kittens have found their forever homes, Goose is also looking for a forever family who will shower her with the love and care she deserves. If you are interested in giving Goose a loving home, please contact us to arrange a meet-and-greet!
