Story
Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Story
Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Shadow has been part of my home since he was a kitten. He can say hello, usually in the mornings or if he is bored. He can also say help...when he's hungry. He does not like laser pointers. They get him very worked up. Give him a box or a plastic bag and he'll be entertained all day. If you don't already have a bread bin, please invest in one. You will wake up to a chewed up loaf of bread. My son and I love our cat, but we have decided with our busy schedules that we cannot give him the love and attention he deserves. I would like Shadow to go to a loving family who is at home more than just a few hours a night.

Story
Pepper loves cuddles and big fuzzy blankets. She can be very talkative at times especially when she’s hungry which is so adorable. It takes her some time to become used to new fur friends but after a while she’s so sweet to them and loves to cuddle with them. She loves neck scratches and stretches from time to time. We also have her sister Junie we’d love to rehome them as a pair, as Pepper is the only cat Junie is comfortable with but if that’s not possible that’s okay!

Story
Snowball and Kirby are both loving and friendly gentlemen looking for a new home.  Their elderly owner is ill and no longer able to care for them.  Snowball and Kirby are usually calm and enjoy being around people.  They are a little shy at first, but will eventually warm up.  Their perfect home would be with adults that have lots of love to give them! The suggested adoption donation for Snowball and Kirby is $75 for both, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Arkin is 3 years old (we go by the year, his birthday is unknown) I picked him up from an unsafe and unclean place until he was fixed and given shots. I fell in love with him! He is the sweetest most talkative cat! He will cuddle you endlessly. His new home should definitely be full of toys and lots of climbing space. He gets along a lot better with older people not sure how he does around younger Children.

Story
Soup is having problems using the litter box. I've tried everything I've read, but nothing seems to work. He is 2+ years old. He is an in house cat. Does not go outside. Has his claws. He started exhibiting not using the litter box when I started traveling. I am usually gone about 14 days a month. Am planning move to another state. He is very loving. I think sometimes he thinks he is a dog. Will go to the front door when doorbell rings. He has been with his brother Bean since birth. Maybe someone who is home all the time could give the love and care Soup needs.
