Story
Cutie and Winnie are a bonded pair that would love a home to call their own! They are 1.5 year old females that enjoy a mellow lifestyle. These girls were both initially shy when arriving at the AARF House, but they have come out of their shell while leaning on each other for confidence. Winnie and Cutie enjoy basking in the sun, watching birds outside the window and grooming each other.

Story
Monty and his mother used to live in my grandmothers backyard and would come up to her porch where she would feed them. One day Monty, who at this point was still only a couple months old came up to her porch alone and sat on the railing crying out. He stayed on the porch for a few days, and would eat a little then go back to his post on the railing clearly looking for his mom. After a week of this my grandmother asked me if I would come get him because he was all alone now. I was hesitant because I already had one cat, but I came and got him. Kitty, the cat I already had, was clearly not a big fan of another cat in the house, but I hoped she would eventually accept him. They’ve lived together for about 4 years now, and Monty is in love with her, but he still gets bossed around by Kitty who is less than half his size, he’s about 17lbs now! I feel bad for him because under Kitty’s reign he has to live in fear that she’s going to jump out and get him. He is an indoor only cat now!

Story
Little Vader was found as an older kitten in a dumpster by my stepdaughter. We took him in last July and he instantly took to me and the kids. He loves pets and is very sociable and loves to purr. He often waits by the door when I'm getting home and will sometimes follow us room to room. He will snuggle in our laps often and sleep on the foot of the bed at night. He is litter trained. He eats a combination of wet and dry food, preferring wet food. He is very playful. He is probably between 6-8 months old now and we are moving, combining households and one of the kids has developed terrible allergies around Vader. We have tried baths for Vader, excessive cleaning, medication for the kid and limiting contact but this has not helped much. Vader has been able to stay in the apartment so far, but I am nearing the move out date and have not had takers for this sweet cat. We are happy to cover the cost of neutering and any necessary vaccines to ensure he is up-to-date.

Story
Hello! I’m Turtle. When I first got to the shelter, I was very nervous and sick. Luckily the nice people at the shelter took care of me and got me on some medication. After being on different medications and my symptoms not improving the medical team determined that I most likely had herpes (lots of cats actually have it not just me!) that presents as upper respiratory symptoms. But in a less stressful environment my symptoms should lessen or even go away unless I have a flair up. But enough about that let me tell you about me! I am a very sweet girl who loves to be held. I’d love a quiet home where I can get lots of pets from my people.
