Story
This is White Foots. In a previous life he was known as Hershey. • 2011 he was adopted from the SPCA • Feb 2017 he was dumped • He is chipped but his owners denied ever owning a cat. • Approximately 13 yrs old • Likes to sleep in a carrier but prefers a sofa • FIV & Feline Leukemia negative. He lived outside from Feb 2017 until fall 2023, part of that time on my patio, part of the time elsewhere. Fall of 2023 he decided he did not want to go outside ever again. My house is not the best place for him. With him I have 4 cats. White Foots is not comfortable with other cats & hisses or growls. It has taken 5 months for him to be okay with my 1 female cat. He needs a home where he is the only pet. A place where he can sleep on a sofa or chair which he is quite happy to share with a human, just not another pet. He is quiet. No drama. He would be perfect for an older person who doesn't want a pet who will outlive them.

Story
She is good with adults. She doesn't do well with young kids. Gabby is 5 months old. We got from a feral mom my sister adopted. We are looking for someone who loves gabby. She is very sweet, but don't try to trim her nails. She is a sweet kitty. We want to help find someone that will love her and take care of her. She loves to be pet but doesn't like to be carried or held. She is curious about everyone and everything. She likes her space and likes to cuddle and sleep with you. She is loyal and will follow you everywhere.

Story
The mother is a feral cat (friendly) that lives in my neighborhood. In Sept I discovered she had 4 kittens. I estimate they were born in mid-August. I captured and have fostered them since early November. They all took to the litter immediately. The 2 up for adoption are very friendly (once they get to know you) and playful, and both are starting to cuddle with me on the couch. My landlord won't let me keep 2 kittens (I also have a blind adult cat), and I can't afford to keep all of them long term. I'd like to have both adopted together since they've been together since birth and are very close to each other. I can share more about their individual personalities when I meet a potential owner.

Story
We love Addie very much. She is cuddly, sweet, & obsessed with squiggle toys. She loves attention & wiggles around in anticipation of being pet. We rescued Addie when her litter was found outside. Her birthday is 9/7/2020. Addie frequently attacks our youngest female cat. She has become incredibly territorial & will spray anywhere the other female has been to dominate the space. She runs after her, blocks her from coming upstairs, goes after her in the litter box, etc. The other cat has Wobbly Cat Syndrome & loses her balance very easily, so we worry Addie will cause her to fall & be seriously harmed. This is NOT medical. Addie has had urine/blood tests done & had her bladder checked. She has been on dietary food & kitty Prozac through 2 cycles. We've tried 2 different pheromone diffusers. Addie has NO problem using the litter box! This is only about her dominating the other female. Addie is perfectly fine with male cats. We don't want to lose Addie, but it has become too much :(

Story
Willow is a 2 year old kitty, she spent her life outside as a feral kitty. I took her in and worked with her so she can find her forever home. She’s now a sweet kitty but needs a calm environment as fast movements scare her, she doesn’t like being hissy so just move slowly. She could use another kitty friend to cuddle with!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!We are constantly being asked to help find a home for a helpless cat.  Typically it is someone is moving or the owner has died and there are only days to keep it from being tossed on the street or ending up in a kill shelter.PLEASE tell us what you are looking for in your next cat and we will process you application and call you when we have 'a fit'Thank you for caring enough to adopt instead of shop!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!August 7, 2024, 7:26 pm

I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. I am ready for someone to love me FUREVERVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5.
