To apply or see more of Honey, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/4/22/honey-b WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com Hey there, it's Honey B, a sweet senior girl with a heart full of love! I'm currently kicking back in Davis, soaking up the good vibes after being rescued from the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. Let me paint you a picture of my perfect day—I'm a snuggly couch potato, living my best life during the day. But watch out — I’ll get my zoomies in before bedtime and be sure to make you chuckle. My hobbies include playing with my toys, being the little spoon during snuggle sessions, soaking up belly rubs, and catching some rays while napping in the sunlight. Outdoorsy? That's me! I'm a fantastic walking and jogging companion, matching your pace with ease. Now, let's talk about my cheese-powered progress. I get a bit excited when spotting other dogs during walks, but thanks to some cheesy motivation, I'm making great strides. What kind of cheese you may ask? I don’t discriminate! I am housetrained and trustworthy when left alone! While rapidly de-stuffing toys is a talent of mine, fear not, I leave the human things alone … BORINGGGG! Meeting new people? I can be a tad shy at first, but give me a little time, and my cute personality shines through. I've even mastered the art of shaking paws! I've lived harmoniously with another dog in my previous foster home, but I'm a bit selective, preferring slow intros and other laid-back doggy pals. Now, here's the thing—I've got a bit too much curiosity when it comes to cats, so a cat-free zone is best. Ready for a snuggly, playful companion who knows how to charm with a paw shake? That's me—Honey B, ready to add sweetness to your life. Let's make some memories together in a home filled with love and laughter! 🐾 Honey B's adoption donation is SPONSORED! Includes spay/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Honey is being fostered in GRASS VALLEY, CA ESTIMATED DOB: 10/1/2015 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
To apply or see more of Hammy, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/18/hammy I'm Hammy and the humans say I’m a sensational boy…whatever that means. I was rescued from Solano County Animal Control, and life has been looking up ever since! First things first, I'm a pro on the leash making me the perfect companion for those leisurely strolls. Oh, and did I mention balls? I'm head over paws IN LOVE with them! If you're on the hunt for a dog with a genuine passion for balls, well, you just found me! I'm not just a ball enthusiast. People big and small? They’re all pals in my book. I also get along with my doggy foster sibling. While I’m fine living with other dogs, I don’t really get the whole playing thing so if you’re looking for a rowdy playmate for your dog, that may not be me. Now, here's the thing – I’m a little embarrassed, but I've got a bit of hair loss on my backside. I’ve been reassured that it will improve with some TLC. If you think you can welcome me (along with all my balls for fetchin’), I would be so pleased. I can’t wait to meet ya! Hammy is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA Estimated DOB: 8/29/2017 $125 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Interested in adopting? 1. Story
Meet Carrot—a stunning 2-year-old, super mutt! His primary breeds are Staffordshire and Pit Bull, but his unique tan merle coloring comes from Catahoula Leopard Dog genes in his DNA. He is smart, food motivated, and eager to please, making him so much fun to train. So far, his repertoire includes sit, shake, spin, down, and saddle. His previous owner reported he is potty trained, mostly crate trained, and happy to greet you with cuddles & kisses when you come home.    He is an active young boy that thrives when mentally stimulated or taken for outside adventures—especially car rides to Dutch Bros for pup cups. Carrot was returned to the shelter due to incompatibility with cats, so his dream home is cat-free. We believe he has potential to live with a chill and friendly dog. Ideally, his future dog sibling will teach him how to play! Though his first home was not the right match, we are optimistic his furever home is just around the corner.    If you are interested in meeting Carrot and have another dog (or more), bring them by for a meet-and-greet! Drop by the shelter during our walk-in hours on Fridays and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm or email adopt@yoloshelter.org to schedule an appointment.   His $50 adoption fee is sponsored by Blue Note Brewing Co.!   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Lucky`s fee has been sponsored by Stephanie Brennan BjorgeMortgage Broker NMLS 1445028Instagram: @stephmortgageconsultantLucky is 1 year old and 66 pounds. He is a sweetie pie who can be a bit bashful at first but he loves attention once he warms up to you. He likes to sit straight next you while you give him chest and shoulder pets; it makes for quite a regal sight! He knows sit and shake and he really loves treats but is polite about asking for them. He has a very graceful jump and would probably love to learn agility. He would love nothing more than to go to his forever home. If you adopt him he promises to be your personal lucky charm and bring tons of good vibes your way! His previous family said that he was house trained and would hold his bladder until he went outside. I lived with dogs in my previous home, though I may need management in a home with other dogs.I don’t have a history with cats, but would likely do best in a home without cats.I lived with children in my previous home and may do well with your children.

He can start out as shy and uncertain of new friends, but with some treats and patience, he will become your best friend! He loves to cuddle and thinks he is a lap dog. He is also a very active guy who moves fast and would probably love being in agility or something of that nature. His energy is infectious and if you need motivation to move your body, Harley has you covered! He loves to run and explore and see all there is to see out and about!I don’t have a history with dogs. Story
To apply or see more of Otto, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/12/20/otto Otto, formerly Joey, was rescued from the Modesto shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list for that night simply due to overcrowding. He did nothing wrong to land himself on that list, but black dogs tend to get overlooked and adolescent large dogs are the most at-risk. Despite the odds stacked against him, this young, lively boy is so deserving of his second chance. Since coming to live with his foster fam and two furry foster siblings, he has been learning sit, down and stay so far. He’s such a fast learner! His leash skills have greatly improved and he is a joy on his daily walks. He has also been on so many new adventures! He LOVES snow shoeing and hiking with his foster family. From his fosters: He is a great outdoor dog but also an amazing snuggle bug at home. The perfect combo! He’s also fine with a good 15-30 minute walk and can chill out when he gets home. We have been working on crate training and it’s going great! He sleeps in his crate at night and when we are out of the house. Otto loves every single human he meets! He loves to jump and give hugs but we are working on that. He also loves other dogs and gets very excited to see them. With the right introduction, he would do great with a buddy to play with in his new home! He would also be great as an only dog. Otto is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA Estimated DOB: 9/1/2021 $250 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, Microchip Interested in adopting? 1.
