Story
Fezzik....how do we even begin to describe a dog like him? Fezz is a 4 year old brown/grey Staffordshire bull terrier. He is large and in charge and looking for love. Weighing in at an impressive 87 pounds, he`s big and happy and friendly and snorty, but he`s also strong and stubborn so he needs someone who can physically manage him. This behavior becomes the most pronounced when he has attached himself to his favorite toy-of-the-day; he resource-guards it until the thrill wears off so staff has learned to leave him alone while he gets it out of his system. When the adrenaline has subsided, the chosen toy is left in shambles and he`s ready to socialize once again. He is very motivated....for attention, for toys, for SQUEAKER toys, for food.....as long as it`s not fruit. This man won`t miss a meal but he draws the line at the healthy stuff! Fezzik loves all the outdoor things, too....playing in the water, rolling around in the grass, army-crawling to scratch his belly on the ground. Staff reports that he`s a leg lifter outside, that he does the cutest little tap dance when he`s excited, and that he`s pretty easy to please and entertain. Because Fezzik can guard his toys and food until he`s decided he`s done, he is not for a first-time dog owner. Fezz would be a great companion for someone with dog experience who can handle a big lug like him and can read his cues and give him space when he wants it.

Story
Meet Jam! Jam is a one year old, calm and easy going pit mix. He has unique and beautiful markings. He is currently about 40lbs. He easily goes in his crate when his foster mom leaves the house and can be left in another room unsupervised without being destructive when she is home. He does prefer to be in the same room as his foster mom but doesn’t get underfoot. Jam is working on potty training and is coming along with it but does need help. He gets along with dogs he has met and plays with his foster sister who is about his size and age. He is respectful of his older foster sister and will lay with her but seems to understand that she doesn’t play. Jam appears to be timid in new situations but does his best to please his foster mom as she gains his trust. He enjoys chewing on bones but doesn’t play with toys yet. He walks well on a leash. Jam's $300 adoption fee covers his neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, deworming medication, and microchip with registration.
