Story
Jasper is a cute little boston/bully mix who was adopted from us a few years ago. At some point his owner passed away and he ended up living in Ohio. They returned him to us because he was living in a crate for long hours. When he was originally adopted he loved other dogs and was a play group rockstar. We don't know what he's gone through these past couple of years but he was absolutely terrified when we tried to put him in a playgroup. He still loves people and is desperate for attention so we think he would do best in a home with an easy going dog who will give him space or as an only dog with people who will give him the love and reassurance he needs. He's a short, chunky little guy who needs a second chance! All our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots before adoption!

Story
Meet Thor! Thor is a very sweet Staffordshire Terrier that is nicknamed “Potato” by our staff. He was recently returned after being adopted from GHHS last year. After living with cats the whole time he was with the family, he suddenly decided he hates cats and no longer wanted to live with them. If you are not a cat, Thor loves you and wants to be your best friend. He loves tennis balls, fetch and a good booty-scratchin' session! He has a very happy tail that is constantly wagging (and sometimes knocking things off of low tables!). He loves humans of all sizes and gets along with dogs just fine. Because of his size and energy level, we do think he should be in a home with children over the age of 5. Our Thor does have a high prey drive, so we recommend no small critters like cats or rabbits or chickens in the vicinity. We do require a meet & greet if you have another dog. Thor is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. Story
Hello! I'm Derry, a handsome Staffy and gentle giant looking for my forever family. Weighing in at about 85 pounds, I'm solid muscle, but don't let that scare you! I'm a gentle, smart and loving boy who always wants to be near my family. Some would even call me a 'velcro dog.' I was picked up on the streets of Flint and taken to the Genesee County Animal Control, so my exact age is unknown, but they guess I'm around 6. I am currently hanging out in Marshall, Michigan waiting for my forever family.I currently live with my foster mom and dad and three other dogs. From the moment I walked into my foster home, I've been respectful of my foster parents and furry siblings, getting along famously with all of them. Plus, I absolutely love going for walks and I ride great in the car! I’d love a home with a fenced-in yard, but it’s not a necessity to adopt me. I like kids, but I haven’t been exposed to any cats yet.So, what do you say, are you ready to bring this big hunk home? I'm perfection in every way - sweet, smart, loyal and lovable. Not only am I a dapper fella, but I'm also housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, up-to-date on all my shots, microchipped and my adoption fee is $300.Questions or if you're ready for a beautiful, gentle giant to join your family, email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  I can't wait to meet you and start making memories together!August 19, 2024, 6:55 pm
