Story
Introducing the most handsome 1 year old boy, Dave. The beginning of Dave’s life wasn’t the best, but you would never know it as this boy’s smile lights up the room and he is just full of love. 💙🐾 Dave is smitten with every person he meets and is also absolutely fantastic with other dogs and has a wonderful submissive personality. Dave seems to be housetrained and isn’t a destructive boy though he does love romping around with any and all toys. 🐶❤️ Dave adores attention and two and four legged friends and would love a family that includes him on their adventures, whether they be hikes or snuggling up for a Netflix marathon. This handsome boy still gets excited about greeting new people so either a family that is willing to work with him on that or one without toddlers would be best.🫶🏻 This gorgeous, loving boy is ready to live the good life with his forever family and he’s hoping it might be you! 🎉😊 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. TABBY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!  Tabby is a 2-year-old bundle of joy offering up her velvety coat to pet with a happy "smile" whenever she sees you.  Her foster family says she is full of playful energy, eagerly romping around the house with her giant foster brother who is 3 times her size.  She gets along with cats as well as other dogs, and she is both crate-trained and potty-trained.    Tabby is full grown at 55 pounds.  She loves affection and will happily climb into your lap given the slightest invitation...she can never get enough belly rubs, hugs, or kisses.  And if you like to put clothes on your doggie, she wears t-shirts, pajamas, and jackets just fine.     This sweet girl is ready and waiting to be someone's furever friend.  She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and her rabies shot.  Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Tabby up north to her new family. RELAY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!     Relay is a loving 6 year old looking for his true forever home. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch or bed, but also loves to get out. Relay enjoys his daily walks and trips to the dog park. In his foster home he does well playing with other dogs, cats, and kids. Though he does well with my dogs and kids I personally think he would be best in a kid free home, or older children, or maybe an active person/couple. He loves big! He picks his person and is protector. He’s really a great dog, but he needs patience, reassurance, and love. Relay is a house trained and kennel trained. He is perfect for your active home. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 7/25/24 Mary Jane (MJ) was rescued after her owner moved and abandoned her and many other dogs, locked in the home with no electricity or air flow in the extreme heat of Arkansas. MJ is a sweet natured, friendly little girl who only weighs about 35 lbs and is around 8-10 months old. She gets along very well with other dogs and is great with children as well. MJ has a pronounced overbite which you can see in the last photo. This causes her no issues at all and needs no corrective procedures. It's just part of what makes her unique! She is working on house training and making progress, but isn't 100% yet. She will make more progress once she is in a more structured home. Her foster home is very busy with 2 working parents, so it's not ideal for teaching house training. She is trying her best! She is eager to please and is treat motivated, making training easy. This little girl is a gem and will make someone very happy! She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.    Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays   To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Justice is ready!!!! He is 48 pounds of pure delight. He loves all people and all dogs. He loves kids and would love a fun active family. He loves to go for walks, hikes, swims and he loves to ride in the car or the side by side. He does chase the cows and horses so we don't recommend a home with anything he chases. If you have an adult dog and want another adult that will 100% get along, this is your guy. We think he was born about January of 23 so he is a perfect age. He loves to fetch and have belly rubs and is finished with that destructive puppy phase of life yet he has a puppy attitude. He is so very sweet and a fun guy. If you think you are fun and active enough for this guy you will need to visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit the application. He is fostered in TN and will travel once his adoption is finalized. His adoption fee is $325 and transport is an additional $200. He is fully vetted, happy and ready to join his forever family. This sweet boy was found on the Supreme Court steps. Apparently he was seeking justice for his past treatment. He is badly scarred and very thin but oh so sweet and friendly. He is on antibiotics now and getting all the grub he needs. He loves other dogs and is very sweet and gentle. He appears young. Maybe about a year old. He is only 36 pounds now but needs to gain at least 10 pounds. He will be a perfect medium size dog who will be a great addition to almost any home.

**Meet Spirit!** Spirit is a 1-year-old boxer mix with the most gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that will melt your heart. This sweet boy is very well-behaved and has quickly earned the nickname “Velcro dog” because he loves to stick close to his people. He’s pretty good on a leash and enjoys car rides, although he’s still a bit tentative and needs some encouragement to get in. Spirit is also working on his crate training; while he’s hesitant to enter, he does well once inside and doesn’t have accidents. Spirit is fantastic with children and gets along wonderfully with the 7-year-old in his current foster home. He’s still learning how to play with toys and prefers soft treats over hard ones. If you’d like to be the family that shows Spirit, what love is all about. Spirit is sure to become a loyal and loving companion. Are you ready to give Spirit the forever home he deserves?
