Story
Hi! My name is Banjo and I'm a really good boy looking for my forever home! I'm around 60lb and 4 years old. I've had many names this past year - Snape, Banjo, Bean and Bruce - but I'll respond to any of them, especially if you have a treat for me! I loooove food and it's the easiest way to win over my affection. I can be shy at first, especially around males, but once I know that I can trust you I'll be really friendly and sweet. I love playing with toys but I'm pretty low energy so I'll need a long nap after playing. I've lived with other dogs and a cat in my previous foster home and did wonderful around them. I haven't been around kids much and I might be a little nervous if they approach me too quickly but once I know that person is my friend, then you're my friend for life. I'm really calm and gentle and don't seem to have a mean bone in my body. I had a really tough year - I was found running around in a church parking lot and was brought into a shelter in Houston. I had scars all over my body and my one ear is badly torn. Do you notice the white speckles on my face? Those are actually healed scars. I tried my best to be super well behaved in the shelter, but it's an overcrowded municipal shelter and I found myself on the euthanasia list after a month. I was a heartworm positive black dog and that can make my chances of being noticed and adopted REALLY hard in such a crowded shelter. I was really nervous that no one was going to notice what a good boy I was, even though I was trying my very best to be really quiet and not cause any problems. Luckily the shelter staff, intake staff, and volunteers all raved about what a perfect gentleman I was. I'm really easygoing, calm, and down to go anywhere with you - again, especially if there are treats involved! A wonderful foster stepped up and Bark About It Rescue was able to save me, treat me for heartworm, and transport me up north so I don't have to be a stray dog on the streets ever again. Now I'm looking for my forever home, where I can live out my days snoozing on a comfy couch and getting all the treats and bones and toys that I think I deserve. I am crate trained, house trained, walk very calmly on a leash, super food motivated, and dog and cat friendly. Surely there's a family out there looking for a handsome gentleman to add to their home!

Blaze is looking for his forever family! Blaze is a handsome guy with his solid white coat and freckles! He is the forever model and happy to dress up. 😂 Blaze is fully potty trained, crate trained, and he improves everyday on the leash and with his manners. Blaze is around 2 years old and he's a big, energetic boy, pushing 80 pounds. Due to this a family without small children would be best. Other than the initial excitement, he is a very laid back dude. He would love an occasional walk but is fine chilling out. He loves to spread out on the floor like a bear rug 😂. Blaze is very loving and cuddly. He’s going to make a great companion. He is good with non dominant dogs but would need a slow introduction to other dominant dogs. A feline free home is also best. Please consider giving this gorgeous guy a chance at a loving home.

Meet Diamond! Diamond around 4 years old and 45lb. She is such a sweet girl! She loves to cuddle — her favorite place is on your lap! Diamond is crate trained, is doing great on walks on the trail, and is house trained. She is super treat motivated to learn new tricks! Diamond has also been to the groomer twice already and did a great job! Diamond’s favorite place to be is on the couch snuggling up to her human. She would love to be in a home with some dog siblings, as she’s always looking to play with her foster siblings. She is super gentle with them and happy to just join them in looking out the window. Diamond has left paw prints on the hearts of everyone she’s met!

Smiley is around 5yo and 40lb. He LOVES a snuggle and wants to be with you all the time! Big fan of a soft bed/couch, plus a stuffed animal. Actually he LOVES collecting stuffed animals. He is possibly the best dog ever with cats and is extremely respectful of them and their space. He prefers a slow introduction to other dogs, but gets along great if done so! Smiley is everyone’s friend with a patient and calm introduction. Greatly enjoys kids, but can play a little rough. He is good on a leash, but is also fine just hanging in the yard as he is a low energy guy!! Fully crate trained and actually prefers to eat his meals there. Smiley is pretty good at being house trained, but does need a regular schedule of going out or can sometimes have accidents. He would like to have unlimited stuffed animals and benebones in his life, as well as the occasional bully stick as a treat. Definitely a food motivated guy!! Smiley is sweet, snuggly, and just wants to be your best friend.

Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter have to say about me!: "He's a big mush, who has a tough exterior but just wants to be loved. He just brings me immense joy, he's so chill but funny at the same time. He's sooo big and has a huge head but he just wants to give belly all the time. I've temp tested him at least 12x, and out of those 12, 2 weren't great. But that doesn't mean he's a bad dog, or needs to be an only dog. It means he doesn't love every dog, just like we don't have to love every human. He'd be great in a home with a calm dog who doesn't jump on him or get in his face. He'd also do just fine with no dogs. He just wants a human and belly rubs, the rest is just chatter. He's easy to walk on leash, and just truly a gentle giant. I love him so much, and I just want him to have the happy ending he deserves. "

She was just returned to us because her adopters are elderly, and one of them hurt her back trying to lift her in the tub for a bath. They were going to euthanize her if we didn’t take her back! Despite being 9 years of age and a little gray in the face, she still has tons of spunk. She loves going to walks. She loves attention.

Get ready to meet the newest combo meal sensation, brought to you by McDonald's... Oops, we mean McDaddy and his sister wives, McMuffin and McFlurry! These delightful pups were discovered living in a McDonald's drive-thru, where they'd been flipping tails for months. The good news? One of the sister wives, McFlurry, has already found her forever home and is loving life! But the McDaddy-McMuffin duo is still awaiting their perfect match, whether that means together or apart. What's the secret sauce to their happiness? Well, these two definitely need another canine companion to keep those tails wagging! Let's meet the star of the show, McDaddy! He's a sweet, middle-aged guy with a low-energy vibe. He enjoys leisurely strolls through the yard, cozy couch naps, and most of all, he loves chilling in his crate while keeping a watchful eye on the house. McDaddy is a people lover, but he's not so keen on the little ones-they make him a bit nervous. However, when it comes to other dogs, he's a real team player, and those pesky cats? Well, he's too smart to bother with them. He's diligently working on his housetraining manners and wears a fancy belly band until he's mastered it all. But for a former drive-thru aficionado, he's adjusting beautifully to the cozy comforts of home life, complete with his very own spot and foster humans who adore him for exactly who he is! With a heart full of gratitude for his newfound safety, regular meals, and understanding and loving people, McDaddy is more than ready for his forever companion, whether it's a friend for your dog or a package deal with his lovely sister, McMuffin. So, if you're ready to add a dash of love and happiness to your life, don't leave McDaddy at the drive-thru! Swing by and let him be the perfect addition to your family. And don't forget to check out his stunning sister, McMuffin-she's head over paws for her foster home too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet the incredible Izzy, although she's also known as Samantha, a true American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart as big as the open plains. Izzy's journey hasn't been the easiest, but her unwavering love and loyalty shine bright. With eyes that sparkle like stars, Izzy is the kind of companion that makes every car ride an adventure. She loves hopping in and taking her spot in the backseat, right between her favorite humans, ready to share the road with you. She's a cuddle enthusiast, known to flop down next to you just to feel close and get her fair share of affection. Izzy is well-behaved and knows the importance of a schedule, making potty breaks a breeze. She's kennel trained, but her curious nature and intelligence can sometimes turn her into a bit of an escape artist. She's full of love and a big fan of chew toys, treats, and special puppucinos to celebrate the good times. However, she does get nervous if left alone for too long, stemming from her early days when she waited by a ditch until kind humans came to her rescue. Izzy's heart overflows with love for her people, but she's still working on building trust with male figures due to her past experiences. She's not only great with other dogs, often rolling around in the grass, but she can also tolerate feline friends. However, her feelings towards other cats are unpredictable. And beware, she has a knack for letting everyone know when it's her turn for a potty break with her unique, loud cry. While she's an excellent leash walker, her excitement sometimes gets the best of her, leading her to try and take the lead. But with the right training and a bit more time, she's sure to overcome this small quirk. Izzy is a remarkable girl, full of love and a testament to the resilience of animals. If you're seeking a loyal and loving companion who's come a long way, Izzy is the one for you. She's more than just a dog; she's a treasured family member waiting for her forever home. Are you ready to welcome her into your heart and home? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Hi, we are Laverne and Shirley and much like the famed couple living in Milwaukee and looking for a future filled with big families and love and HOMES!! We are a great pair of pups and we were literally found dumped on the side of a railroad tracks at less than 10 weeks old :( When we were found, we each had one eye that was like a "cherry pie", I think that's what the doctor man said..... (the doc said "cherry eye!!") We were so bonded that Shirley's left eye and Laverne's right eye had the "cherry pie" :) I mean, how cute and sad is that???? We are a couple of pittie/lab girls, we are great with all people, dogs, cats and even tortoises!! We are bonded but can be separated if the right families come along. Honestly though, we are like the peanut butter and chocolate debate- TAKE THEM TOGETHER!!!! We are about 50# maybe, full grown... We LOVE to ride in the car, so traveling with you is super easy, cause we are THERE! You don't have to pick us up, we load up!! I think you need to go ahead and fill out the application soon! ONE OR BOTH, we are waiting!!!! He is a big, emotional loverboy who wants all your love, attention, affection, and care. He is a proud terrier mix, male, and medium sized at around 52lbs. He's good with all people and would love a walking partner who could show him how to be more comfortable on the leash! Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl.
