TABBY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!    Tabby is a 2-year-old bundle of joy offering up her velvety coat to pet with a happy "smile" whenever she sees you.  Her foster family says she is full of playful energy, eagerly romping around the house with her giant foster brother who is 3 times her size.  She gets along with cats as well as other dogs, and she is both crate-trained and potty-trained. Tabby is full grown at 55 pounds.  She loves affection and will happily climb into your lap given the slightest invitation...she can never get enough belly rubs, hugs, or kisses.  And if you like to put clothes on your doggie, she wears t-shirts, pajamas, and jackets just fine.   This sweet girl is ready and waiting to be someone's furever friend.  She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and her rabies shot.  Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Tabby up north to her new family. RELAY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!     Relay is a loving 6 year old looking for his true forever home. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch or bed, but also loves to get out. Relay enjoys his daily walks and trips to the dog park. In his foster home he does well playing with other dogs, cats, and kids. Though he does well with my dogs and kids I personally think he would be best in a kid free home, or older children, or maybe an active person/couple. He loves big! He picks his person and is protector. He’s really a great dog, but he needs patience, reassurance, and love. Relay is a house trained and kennel trained. He is perfect for your active home. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. Story
CAPTAIN IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Captain, affectionately known as “Cap!” He has the biggest heart, a very calm demeanor, and always looks at you with a smile on his face. Despite being calm, he loves playing, especially with others. He is the cutest when he gets a toy and trots away in another room to hide it. Cap LOVES hugs and cuddles; his favorite place to be is wherever you are. Cap is a very quiet boy and rarely barks. He’s very intuitive and sensitive to your tone of voice, and loves to be talked to. Cap is working on his basic commands, as well as not needing to be the center of attention. He jumps right into the tub for baths and falls asleep while trimming his nails. He also LOVES car rides and falls asleep almost immediately. Clearly, Cap loves his sleep! He is house and doggy-door trained and great on the leash. He gets a lot of kennel anxiety, but does great free-roaming in the house. He lives with his three foster sisters and walked right in as one of the pack with no issues. He would be best with no cats as he has tried to chase after ones he has seen outside. Cap is about 2 years old, 45 pounds of mostly muscle, and on the shorter side. Captain is ready to be your Sunday afternoon napping buddy! He is fully vetted including spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Captain up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Captain here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 10:00 am

Story
Justice is ready!!!! He is 48 pounds of pure delight. He loves all people and all dogs. He loves kids and would love a fun active family. He loves to go for walks, hikes, swims and he loves to ride in the car or the side by side. He does chase the cows and horses so we don't recommend a home with anything he chases. If you have an adult dog and want another adult that will 100% get along, this is your guy. We think he was born about January of 23 so he is a perfect age. He loves to fetch and have belly rubs and is finished with that destructive puppy phase of life yet he has a puppy attitude. He is so very sweet and a fun guy. If you think you are fun and active enough for this guy you will need to visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit the application. He is fostered in TN and will travel once his adoption is finalized. His adoption fee is $325 and transport is an additional $200. He is fully vetted, happy and ready to join his forever family. This sweet boy was found on the Supreme Court steps. Apparently he was seeking justice for his past treatment. He is badly scarred and very thin but oh so sweet and friendly. He is on antibiotics now and getting all the grub he needs. He loves other dogs and is very sweet and gentle. He appears young. Maybe about a year old. He is only 36 pounds now but needs to gain at least 10 pounds. He will be a perfect medium size dog who will be a great addition to almost any home.

Story
To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application here: http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/ Rooney is five years old but he acts like a teacher recalled from retirement: he has no silliness, doesn't laugh at jokes, gives people a look that says  "Stand up straight! Pull your stomach in!" Underneath that stern exterior is a sweet and playful dog. Endlessly playful. Despite having been positive for heartworms, Rooney is very active and with his muscular body, he will need an owner with an active and muscular body (smile)! Planning any DIY projects? Rooney's your demo guy!Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated.  Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption.  100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter. Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!  August 12, 2024, 5:03 pm

What we know about Gus: Great with dogs Great with kids (has lived with kids and another dog previously) Awesome temperament Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. He is currently on Simparica Trio and doing so well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this condition!

Story
This boy was dumped off at an auction place by his owners. Apparently their new landlord wouldn’t let him stay and that was their solution. He waited for them but was caught by a volunteer's house and brought in. He is a sweet, sweet boy who was definitely cared for. We’re positive he is housetrained and does well on a leash. He does well around other dogs his size, have not put him with smaller dogs. We aren’t sure about cats but know he can learn those manners. He loves to be around people, does well with kids and would love to go on any adventure with his new family. He would do best in a yard to get some energy out but it doesn't have to be too big…. just something he can walk around in but extra walks or dog park would do best for him. He is just a big lover who was let down by one family and is hoping for a second chance with a new one. Hank is being fostered in TN at this time but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Story
Vince, his mother Virginia and his two siblings, Victor, and Vanilla are in a shelter that is overfull and will need to make space shortly. ALL OF THEM ARE ON THE URGENT LIST! The poor momma was a stray that no one would help. She finally wandered up to an empty house to have her babies and thankfully someone called trying to find help for her. Vince is the leader of his pack. He is wide open in the play yard, and he loves a tennis ball. He will not jump on you for attention, but he makes his wishes clear by wiggling his butt all around you and gazing up with puppy eyes until you notice him. Vince seems good with kids and other dogs but just make sure you introduce them properly as he thinks he should be in charge! He is super sweet and playful and very smart. He is coming along well with leash walking and potty training and relishes love, and attention. Vince is currently in TN but the transport to your area is included in your fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
