Story
Adora-bull! That's how we'd describe Iliana, (Lily) our beautiful Staffordshire Terrier mix. She'd love to join your family! Lily is looking for an experienced dog owner to provide structure and snuggles! She'd do best in a home without kitty-cats as she likes to give chase and play! Lily does well with most dogs, when given a proper and slow introduction. She is a little wary of newcomers, but blossoms quickly when allowed patience to adjust on her terms. Lily loves to bestow sloppy doggie kisses upon her favorite caretakers. She just enjoys human company! Lily would excel in a home with a fenced yard so can chase after toys to her heart's content. If you're a seasoned dog owner with patience and love to spare, please fill out an online adoption application! We know this adora-bull girl is adopta-bull! Lily is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Lily would take place!

Story
If you're ready to meet the happiest dog, come meet Chapo! This handsome fellow is the definition of resilient. He was hit by a car in Texas and lost the use of his back legs, but Chapo doesn't dwell on the skills he had- he's just interested in showing off the skills he has! He scoots on his hinder, he zooms in his K-9 kart... he is raring and ready to roll! Although he can zoom and roll, Chapo prefers shorter walks and then cuddles with his favorite humans. This beautiful boy LOVES to snuggle and receive human attention and affection. If he's not cuddling close to you, he loves to sleep on thick blankets in the sun, dreaming of treats, (which he takes very gently.) Chapo is friendly and loving and just the best boy. He's an inspiration to all who meet him. But to him, he's just a regular dog. A regular dog with a rad set of wheels! If you have a little extra time and patience in your schedule for a special needs dog, Chapo will thank you by being the best, most loyal friend you could ever ask for. Apply online if you'd love to meet him and hopefully load up his K-9 cart and take him home! Chapo is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Chapo would take place!

Story
My name is Apollo, and I'm two and a half years old. My favorite things are chewing on my toys and playing tug-of-war. I have a really strong chomp, so I need chew toys that won't break into little pieces when I bite down on them! In the morning, I love to burrow underneath the covers and cuddle with you, and in the evening, when I don't want to be going for a walk or playing with my toys, I'll crawl up into your arms so you can hold me. I know I'm not a little guy, but I'm not too big to hold, right? I'm very good at walks, but I need to be reminded sometimes not to pull on my leash. My foster parents say I'm really smart and that I'm really quick to learn new tricks, especially when food is involved. I know all kinds of tricks now, and I'm a very good listener. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I'm around other dogs, but I am muzzle trained. I like to spend a little time outside every day in the summer so that I can get my daily zoomies out. When I'm inside, I like to look out the window so I can let my foster parents know who's out there. Lastly, I have a really expressive face and I'm good at using it to communicate my needs, whether it's dinner time, play time, or I need to go outside. I hope to meet you soon! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Clark still has a rambunctious puppy side and is eager to meet everyone and explore new places. He loves people especially if they have belly rubs to give. Clark has started learning some commands and knows how to sit and lay down. Clark loves his toys and loves to go on walks. He especially loves to play tug with his rope toys, or play with his dog friends. Clark is eager to learn more tricks and would love a person to show off how smart he is with.Clark would also like his new family to know that his BFF at the shelter, Ronald, is also looking for his forever home. These matching boys love to burn off energy together and Clark helps Ron's confidence around new people. While they're not required to go home together, they'd love to share their new family with each other.Clark is very dog-friendly but would need to be introduced to a new canine brother or sister prior to adoption. We don't believe Clark would do well in a home with cats, but we think he could do well in a home with older children who are understanding of his higher energy level. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)- Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals.

Story
Ronald Weasley is looking for his very special family!Ron has been working with his staff best friends and a behaviorist for a few months now on some anxiety, reactivity to strangers, and sensitivity to handling. Now we believe he's ready to go to a home where his future family will continue his behavior management while understanding his quirks and challenges. Ronald's training has consisted of: - Muzzle training- Engage-disengage training- Body handling - Appropriate leash walking with a gentle leader- Positive introductions to new people and dogsRon's been learning with Pawsitive Directions. NAS will sponsor his first behavioral session after his adoption. This will help him to succeed in his new home. Additionally, several staff members who've been working closely with Ron would be willing to coach a potential adopter through some of Ron's training to help ease his transition.Ronald LOVES stuffies and he plays very gently with his toys. He enjoys car rides, walks, and belly rubs or snuggles from his favorite people. He has enjoyed meeting and playing with other dogs but he tends to feed off their energy, for this reason we believe a calmer confident dog would be the best dog sibling for him. While in our care we've learned that when Ron is with his BFF, Clark, who loves meeting new people, Ron is less reactive to strangers and warms up to them much quicker. Ron would also like his future family to know that Clark is still waiting for his forever home too! These matching boys love to burn off energy together and Clark helps Ron's confidence around new people. While they're not required to go home together, they'd love to share their new family with each other. Here's what Ronald needs to best succeed in his new home:- Fenced yard - Physical fence due to territorial behaviors- No young kids- Continuation of his daily Apoquel and Fluoxetine medications- Lots of stuffies! Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website.
