Adora-bull! That's how we'd describe Iliana, (Lily) our beautiful Staffordshire Terrier mix. She'd love to join your family! Lily is looking for an experienced dog owner to provide structure and snuggles! She'd do best in a home without kitty-cats as she likes to give chase and play! Lily does well with most dogs, when given a proper and slow introduction. She is a little wary of newcomers, but blossoms quickly when allowed patience to adjust on her terms. Lily loves to bestow sloppy doggie kisses upon her favorite caretakers. She just enjoys human company! Lily would excel in a home with a fenced yard so can chase after toys to her heart's content. If you're a seasoned dog owner with patience and love to spare, please fill out an online adoption application! We know this adora-bull girl is adopta-bull! Lily is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Lily would take place!

Story
If you're ready to meet the happiest dog, come meet Chapo! This handsome fellow is the definition of resilient. He was hit by a car in Texas and lost the use of his back legs, but Chapo doesn't dwell on the skills he had- he's just interested in showing off the skills he has! He scoots on his hinder, he zooms in his K-9 kart... he is raring and ready to roll! Although he can zoom and roll, Chapo prefers shorter walks and then cuddles with his favorite humans. This beautiful boy LOVES to snuggle and receive human attention and affection. If he's not cuddling close to you, he loves to sleep on thick blankets in the sun, dreaming of treats, (which he takes very gently.) Chapo is friendly and loving and just the best boy. He's an inspiration to all who meet him. But to him, he's just a regular dog. A regular dog with a rad set of wheels! If you have a little extra time and patience in your schedule for a special needs dog, Chapo will thank you by being the best, most loyal friend you could ever ask for. Apply online if you'd love to meet him and hopefully load up his K-9 cart and take him home! Chapo is currently located at our Sanctuary near Marion, WI where any meet and greets with Chapo would take place!

Story
My name is Apollo, and I just turned three years old in December 2024. I’ve now been at NAS for over one year and all I’m wishing for is a family of my own. I was found as a stray initially and have been growing up in the shelter and my foster home. To share a little bit about me, my #1 favorite thing is cuddling. I love to burrow underneath the covers and snuggle up with people. If I’m not under the covers, I`ll crawl up into your arms so you can hold me. I know I`m not a little guy, but I`m not too big to hold, right? I`m also very good at walks, but I need to be reminded sometimes not to pull on my leash. My foster parents say I`m really smart and that I`m really quick to learn new tricks, especially when food is involved. I know all kinds of tricks now, and I`m a very good listener. Sometimes I get a little too excited when I`m around other dogs, but I am muzzle trained. I like spending time outside so I can get my daily zoomies in. When I`m inside, I love to look out the window so I can let my foster parents know who`s out there. Lastly, I have a really expressive face and I`m good at using it to communicate my needs, whether it`s dinner time, play time, or I need to go outside. I hope to meet you soon! I really don’t want to spend another birthday without my forever family. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Meet the beautiful Kamiah! This gentle lady came to us after her owner unexpectedly passed away. After getting spayed and receiving some well-deserved TLC in a foster home, she is looking for her forever family with a comfy couch she can claim a spot on. This is what Kamiah`s foster has to say about her: Kamiah is a super easy dog, very independent. She is easy to please, and enjoys spending her days sleeping and snuggling. She also enjoys walks. She occasionally plays with soft toys, likes to chew on antlers, bones and benebone type chews. She doesn`t really care for the cold. She will go outside to potty and then want to go inside as soon as she`s done. She`s crate trained, but is also a good girl when left to roam the house when the family is gone. She sleeps next to my bed every night, and occasionally on my bed. Kamiah has met people of all ages and sizes, and she loves them all equally. She`s met dogs of all breeds and sizes/ages and does well! We`re unsure of how she is with cats, but I imagine she would do just fine with slow introductions to feline friends. Some toxic traits of Kamiah’s are: drinking out of the toilet if the lid is left up and occasional counter surfing to find yummy human food. When first entering our care, Kamiah had some growths removed. This perfect girl currently has a clean bill of health, but it will be important that her new family keeps monitoring for any future growths (as these will need to be tested and potentially removed as well). Kamiah is currently receiving injections for her allergies. Fill out an application to meet this amazing dog. Story
Get ready for non-stop fun and kisses with Waldo! This little ball of energy is not only an expert cuddler but also a zoomie pro! This goof ball`s signature moves are spinning in circles just because he`s so happy, and flailing his legs as he runs after toys. Waldo loves giving kisses and receiving belly rubs, and his sweet, affectionate nature has melted the heart of everyone he meets. He wants to be friends with every dog he sees, and will play bow and spin around to show his excitement! He`s working on his intros to other dog friends, since sometimes his quirky antics come off a little strong to other dogs. Although he can be timid when meeting new people, it doesn`t take long for him to climb up onto anyone`s lap and generously give kisses. We believe Waldo would do well in a home with older children, but sometimes young kids and their energy is intimidating for him. We aren`t sure how Waldo would do in a home with cats at this time. Story
Meet Junior! He`s been decompressing and getting some much needed TLC in an amazing foster home, but is on the hunt for his forever family! He`s completely potty-trained, loves meeting new people that visit, and enjoys learning new things when treats are involved. Like all dogs, Junior is still working on quirks. Junior is nervous about traveling in the car and this is something he’s working on. Junior also gets very excited by squirrels and bunnies on walks and wants to chase them, making some walks more eventful than others. Here`s what his foster parents have to say about him:Junior is always smiling, and it is the sweetest thing. He is crate trained, he really doesn’t need a crate, but he does like his crate. He is very resilient; he’s been through a lot over the last month or two and he has come through it so well. Junior has not tried to “steal” anything from the dining room table or counters. We have not invited him into our bedrooms or on our furniture. He has not tried to get to any of them. That said, he loves to snuggle. If you are looking for a poochie that will climb into bed with you or hang out on the couch with you, we suspect he’d be there in about 1.5 seconds if you ask him. Junior has met young and old people in our home, and he loves them all. He also does not seem to have a preference between male and female humans. His favorite human if the one that is giving him attention. Junior thinks he`s a big lap dog and loves to be near people. If you want a snuggly poochie, Junior is your dog! This snuggly goofball is looking for a home without other pets.
