Story
Will make an excellent companion! Not a good livestock guardian. Rhino has been raised outdoors on our farm with his mom and dad. Rhino’s breed is meant to do so and to guard livestock. He’s struggled with this. We had a trainer come in to help. The result is that he’s great at walking on a leash and with a little refresher he’ll be great off leash. (I can go over commands) He’s beautiful and loves being cuddled would make an excellent pet. Good with kids and dogs. Lives outside. Needs proper fencing as he’s big and agile.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Justin is a big, sweet, friendly adolescent who loves people and mostly loves dogs. He is very good in the house, has never chewed anything he shouldn't, is well house trained, and is very playful.  He does like to counter-surf, however. We have introduced  him to our dogs carefully; he is friendly and wants to play, but can be food and toy possessive.  He seems to be getting much better with time. He's learning to look for treats while on walks instead of pulling — and also that he doesn't have to bark excitedly at people and dogs he sees! He would do well with an owner experienced with working on positive training methods to help him learn manners and how to be calm with new experiences. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 6, 2025, 2:50 pm

Story
Myla was adopted but had to be brought back due to a new landlord's rule on no dogs. She is a sweet girl who does love a large yard to roam and explore. She does play with other dogs and does well with cats. She has not been around small children but did okay with older kids. She was house trained with a dog door but does like to hang outside. She is just a great gal to have around for yard protection and outside fun. She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Here is a sweet boy who is doing well in a foster home. He is house trained with a doggy door but will need to be taught a different routine if there is no door. He does well with cats and other dogs. He does like to jump so small kids will need to be careful. He must be kept busy as he does like to chew and have things to do. He does appreciate sleeping on a human bed but is fine on a dog bed also. He does well on a leash and on car rides. He is just a big sweet boy who is needing a family who can keep him occupied (farm, walks, outdoor activities, etc....) He just wants his forever family and we know there's one out there. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
