Abigail was given to us from our friends to help raise our sheep. We got her when she was 8 months along with her sister. We were told she was with 6 other dogs on a ranch and learned her hierarchy but still showed aggression towards her sister. Sister is very submisisve. Abigail loves to play with her sister and run the prioerrt. She was also great with our sheep for the past year. She herds them and grooms them. However, when she is in a bad mood or it would rain she attacked her sister and our ram on separate occasions. She would also keep them out of the shelter and growl. She has never shown aggression towards ourselves or young children. She wags her tail when name is called but does not come when called. She would thrive in a home without other pets! We joke and say she is a great dog she just doesn't like her role we need her for. We would absolutely keep her but we have 4 other dogs and she would be better in a home she could be the main star of the show.

Max was born in late summer 2020, although the exact date we are unsure of because she was adopted after having been abandoned. She has a timid nature about her because of that fact but is the most gentle, sweet pea of a dog and lives for cuddles, pets and all things cozy. Give her a spot next to you on the couch or a soft fluffy dog bed and she is in heaven. She is amazing with young kids, other dogs and cats. She will bark occasionally (from a knock at the door or someone she doesn't know) but she is not an over-talker and listens really well when told to stop. She really needs a home with another young dog that can be her new best friend to play and snuggle up with. She does not like leashes, but absolutely loves play time in the yard. A fully fenced yard is a must.

Hello, We found this dog by a highway in Arlington, we’ve had him for a few days and he’s a really sweet friendly dog that does get along with other dogs but sadly we don’t have the time or money to keep him due to already owning a dog. He is not microchipped and I just want him to find a loving home instead of resorting to taking him to a shelter. If you or anyone is interested please let me know! Thank you. Meet Fawcett! She is a 4 mo spayed female Great Dane (not a real recent photo). She is a double merle and is hearing impaired (not deaf). She is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and has had her stomach tacked (gastropexy). She does require a secure fenced yard for her safety. She plays well with other dogs. She uses a doggie door and is house trained. A prior Dane owner is a plus. Fawcett is eating 6 cups of food now and that will increase with growth so please make sure you can afford to care for an XL breed before applying. Learning to walk on a leash well. Proof of regular heartworm prevention on current/past dogs required. She is available within 3 hours of Granbury, Tx. Adoption fee is $300. Applications can be found at www.scftx.org/adopt
