Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on February 7th and arrive on February 8th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 1/16/25 Dog Name: Aponi Sex: Female Spay Status: She is spayed Estimated Breed Mix: Anatolian Shepherd/ Lab mix Approximate Age: 2 years  Approximate Weight: approx. 51 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Aponi was found roaming the streets of a small rural town, she is very sweet and gentle. She is dog and kid friendly and loves to cuddle. Aponi would love to go on walks with you and will gladly follow you around the house. She has a blonde & beautiful, very soft coat!We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 16, 2025, 10:03 pm

Please apply for me https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Casper is a sweet little guy who loves playing with his furry foster siblings. He’s catching on quickly to the routine of going outside with the resident dogs for potty time, but also does well with pee pads when foster Mom isn’t attentive enough. Give him a squeaky toy or a bone to play with and he’s in heaven. Casper gets the zoomies when he’s outside and loves exploring, especially with all this white fluffy stuff that tastes good! Casper will be a large boy, so plan for a future with a 60 lbs. love bug.

If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Freya is a sweet two-year-old who has a mostly calm demeanor but is also always up for playing with her doggy companions or going for a walk. She's a cuddly girl who enjoys human affection and treats. She loves to lay her head on your lap and look at you with love in her eyes. She mostly plays well with the other dogs she has been around but prefers to be the alpha dog. She is good on a leash and doesn’t stray too far away in the yard at her foster home. Her charming blond fur with black markings and endearing "Yoda ears" make her even more lovable. She is gentle with kids and has even gently nuzzled up to a visiting baby. She has quickly learned to use the dog door and to sit, demonstrating her intelligence and eagerness to please. While she's generally good with children and other dogs, she can become anxious in some overly stimulating environments. We do think that once she settles into a family of her own, this will improve. She is eager to love and be loved. With patience and understanding, we believe Freya will thrive and become a most cherished companion. She simply needs a loving home to help her adjust to her new life. After saying good bye to her puppies she is ready for a life of her own.

Story
Meet Jessie Jo, a 1.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with a heart to match her size! Recently pulled from a high-kill shelter in Texas, Jessie Jo is ready to leave her past behind and find a family who will appreciate her gentle, loving nature. Jessie Jo is great with other dogs and loves kids. While she hasn’t met cats yet, we think she’ll do just fine with them, given her calm and easygoing temperament. She’s settling into her Texas foster home but is more than ready for her forever family in Wisconsin. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Indy is a curious and energetic pup! She loves playing in the backyard and chewing on her teething toys. Indy can be independent but still enjoys the company of the two resident dogs and a toddler in the home. Indy is still a baby and working on her puppy mischief. She sleeps in her crate, sometimes she will whine when the crate door is closed, but settles quickly. She likes having her crate door open during the day so she can come and go as she pleases. Potty training is going well, she has had few accidents in the house. She is on a potty schedule learning the ropes and gaining control of her bladder as she is still a puppy. Right now, she will whine in her crate when she has to potty during the night. She is food motivated and the foster has been using that to give her a treat after each successful potty outside. Indy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely. Indy is a small girl right now but she will grow into a big loving gal given her breed. Indy is truly a sweetheart, she is intelligent and will be loyal to her family. She needs a home that can be patient with her puppy training and that can provide her tons of exercise and love. Could that be you?!❤️

Story
Hi my name is Anthony! My breed is known for being a livestock guardian BUT that is not me. I want to lounge on a couch and spend my time with my person. New people tend to scare me and I`ll hide behind my person. I like to jump real high. If I can`t jump the fence, I most certainly will be able to climb it to be with my dog friends next to me. I just DON`T want to be alone. The perfect place would be a person able to hike with me during the day and cuddle on the couch at night. Since I`m not a fan of meeting new people right away, kids wouldn`t be great for me. If you think you`ll be the perfect home for me, apply online today!
