For inquiries email nancy@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $600 Location: Williamsburg, VA Heidi is new in rescue. She is a retired breeder dog from Pennsylvania. She is about 3 years old and weighs about 18 pounds. She is very sweet and loving. Her tail doesn't stop wagging. She will make a lovely addition to any home. Please let us learn more about her wants and needs then we will post an update. She will be spayed and once healed she will be ready for adoption.   UPDATE: 2/22/2025 Learning to drink from a bowl and making progress. Requires patient owner and quiet home. Easily startled by sounds, sudden movements. Tolerates other dogs. Working on potty training, doing well when taken out frequently. Good eater, sleeper. Working on leash skills Has found her voice. During my stray hold we are taking adoption applications. If not reclaimed by my owner(s), then I will be available for adoption on “11/2/23”. Story
Moose is a good boy. He loves to play outside and snuggle. Unfortunately, Moose has some pretty bad behavior problems. He has problems with resource guarding especially. Including anxiety, snarling, growling and occasional snapping. He has two recorded bites. Since he is small he really does no damage. However, we just do not have the proper experience to train this out of him.
