Story
Lady is about 2/3 years old! She is sweet and gentle. She is the perfect balance of playful and calm. She came from a sad situation. She is skittish around men because her previous owner was an elderly man who had dementia and in one incident accidentally poured hot coffee on her. He later then surrendered her to Summits Sanctuary. Because of her past, she is shy and scared of new people (especially men) but will warm up to you with love and patience! She is completely house trained and is spayed and up to date with all her vaccines. She LOVES playing with our puppies and almost every dog she meets. Please give this sweet dog a home and show her what love is. Adoption fee $200 (chipped, fixed, updated on shots)   Please visit our website www.summitssanctuary.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Koda is 4 yrs old she is spayed up to date on vaccines and on preventions. She is a sweet loving dog. The owners have had her since she was a puppy she was born deaf. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at nighttime. Koda rides great in the car. Goes to doggy day care, a few days a week. She does well at the groomers. Koda would fit best in a home where someone could teach her sign language and spend time with her. A fenced yard is a must. Experience with a dog with a disability would also help. Knowing the breed is also important. She doesn't do the nipping herding like she done when she was younger. The family has a 9-yr old son she is great with. But they recently had a newborn miracle baby, and they are afraid the new baby may startle Koda while she is sleeping So with that said Koda would do better in a home with older children someone home or works close to home or she could go to work with. She is currently in Hoover Al for more inf contact Melissa 256-479-7499 submit a application www.safehavenpet.org   December 26, 2024, 4:24 pm

Story
Meet Ryker, the 2-year-old red heeler mix who’s not just unique in looks but also bursting with personality! With his striking red coat and those quirky speckles, Ryker is like a walking work of art that’s always ready to play. **Quirkiness Overload**: This guy isn't your average pup. Ryker’s got a flair for the dramatic and a heart as big as his appetite for adventure. Whether he's chasing after his own tail (because it's just so fun) or giving you those irresistible puppy-dog eyes for an extra treat, Ryker knows how to make every day a little brighter. Ryker has a way of making everyone laugh with his silly antics and joyful bark. He might even have a future in stand-up comedy (just wait until he starts his “barkumentary” series). After a day of fun and frolic, Ryker loves to wind down with some serious cuddle time. He’s a champion snuggler who’ll keep you warm and cozy. Ryker’s not just about play and adventure; he’s also incredibly affectionate. He loves to be close to his humans, offering endless cuddles and warmth. His gentle, sweet nature makes him a perfect companion for cozy evenings and quiet moments. Despite his adventurous spirit, Ryker also knows how to relax and enjoys cozy cuddle sessions with his favorite humans. Ryker is great with other dogs and is always up for a game of fetch or a fun romp in the yard. This charming boy is looking for a forever home where he can get plenty of exercise, attention, and love. If you’re ready for endless laughter, loads of love, and a dash of adventure, Ryker is the perfect match for you! ---
