Sweet Stewie was found in the middle of nowhere where he was dumped in the orchards of Kern County. He also had a broken leg. He would for sure parrished if a good samaritan didn't see him out of the corner of her eye. He was scared and skittish at first. Stewie is now rocking' his world. He is playful, curious and a great sport. He is being fostered with a larger dog and they play beautifully together.He is on the smaller side and will be a great addition to any family. He still needs to trust the world a bit more, but he getting there. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. What an adorable little nugget we found at a high kill shelter in Kern County. GusGus is an incredibly nice dog. Kind and gentle. He appears to be a people dog more, thou he does live harmoniously with other dogs at the fosters home. His adorable compact self is the perfect size to take everywhere. He walks great on a leash and loves his outings. 2 yrs old and 30 pounds... perfection. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. Story

Bobbi was found begging for food at a truck stop. He had been there for a couple of weeks before our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS was altered to the situation. They quickly went out to trap him and get him the vet care he needed. He was not neutered, no collar and had broken 2 of his canines that needed to be pulled. He is generally okay with other dogs but his foster has found that he can be a little pissy if he feels he needs to compete for human affection. We’re still figuring out what would be best, only dog or part of a pack. He’s fairly calm, unlike most cattle dogs. He doesn’t seem to need a job other than being your loyal companion/shadow. He’s so sweet!
