Story
To apply or learn more about Isco, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/2/isco Isco is a 3 year old Cattle Dog Whippet (Best guess) Mix. He has a great base of training and ready to impress you with all his cues, including: Sit, Wait/Stay, Bed, Crate, Down and Off. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull a ton. He LOVES to sniff everything during his walkies aka Sniffaris ( but doesn’t stop to mark, only sniff). He would do best in a quieter neighborhood as very busy places can make him nervous. He has lived with 2 small dogs in the past and may be able to make dog acquaintances with slow intros but does not have a ton of experience with other dogs at this time. He doesn’t mind being prince of the palace though or avoiding getting super close to dogs on walks — he’s just happy to be out and about with his person. GOOD WITH CATS (Isco previously lived with a cat who he loved to play with); we ALWAYS recommend slow intros into the home/early separation for cats/dogs as they get to know one another. Isco has the CUTEST prance and loves to play fetch. He is treat motivate which makes continued training and intros to people much more of a breeze. Housetrained, Crate Trained, around 40-45 lbs. Neutered, Vaccinated, Vetted, ready to be yours! Isco’s adoption donation is sponsored. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2024/8/1/cash Cash is a 7 month cattle dog boxer mix pup adopted through HFP at 2-3 months of age, but now in need of a new home. Cash is looking for a home that can meet his mental and physical needs. He is very smart and a quick learner, but gets bored easily as energetic puppies do! Cash is a very sweet dog that loves attention from his people. In fact, he is very affectionate with his close circle and loves snuggles on the couch. He is working on fearfulness and reactivity that has developed over the past two months with positive reinforcement trainer, Sadie Goldman, who would be happy to continue working with him if he remains in Davis or Woodland. Both Sadie and his current family feel he is trainable and worthy of the perfect home! The perfect situation would be a household that understands positive reinforcement based training and is willing to put in the time working on counter-conditioning and desensitization. Cash would do poorly if punished and needs gentleness as he matures from puppyhood to adulthood. His current owners feel that Cash would make a good ranch dog with lots of space to roam and bark if he wants. He thrives on mental challenges and is not comfortable in urban environments. An adult-home with no kitties, please! Like all of us, Cash has strengths and weaknesses. Cash is fearful of new things and reactive while out and about on walks in the neighborhood. He current lives with a very tolerant female adult dog and they play well together, but is newly showing some resource guarding for attention, which is why we feel he would do best as the only pet in the home. He can also be pushy / a rough player and wants all the toys to himself - a couple things that suggest he would do best being your “one and only.” Cash is intelligent, crate trained, enjoys riding in the car, and is very healthy! From his current owners: “Cash knows sit, stay, touch, focus, come, down, wait, go to bed, shake, spin and a few other things. He can walk on a loose leash at times, although still working on it. He uses a button that says "Outside" to tell us when he needs to go outside. He is fully potty trained except for when he gets super excited/happy he'll have an occasional small pee accident.” He loves to chew on a infinity-shaped benebones, ripping up stuffy toys that squeak, chasing a ball, walks, snuggles on the couch, affection, his dog sister Bailey, and Oravet dental chews before bed. He will do ANYHING for one! If you are looking for an energetic older puppy to build a bond with, Cash has potential to be the best version of himself with consistent training to show him the world is not so scary! He hopes you will give him a chance and inquire about him! Cash is currently located in Woodland, CA. $100 Adoption Donation includes vetting, neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchipped and up to date on monthly preventatives Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
Lilly is an energetic and playful dog that will be 1 year in September. She's an adorable pit/Aussie cattle dog mix as far as we can tell. We adopted her somewhat recently then found out we're expecting and don't have capacity for a baby and young dog at the same time. Lilly is smart and has learned quickly. She's crate and house trained, and is working on leash skills and fetch We're also training sit, down, stay, and wait. She will sit and wait for a release word before eating. She gets along well with our older dog, but would not do well in a home with cats or small kids. It's unclear what happened in Lilly's past, but this sweet girl has some fearful and reactive behavior to work through. For this reason we hope to find and adopter who has some experience with dogs. Men or reaching out to her suddenly scare her, especially at night. Lilly love chewing and peanut butter, and once you've gained her trust loves to be close. She's a fast runner and has lots of fun in the yard!

We really wish we could keep her, but the timing didn't work out so we're hoping to find her a good home.

Story
************COURTESY POST***** NOT AT THE SHELTER SEE NUMBER TO CALL BELOW***** Hello, I'm Maximus, but my friends call me Max. I celebrated my third birthday in September 2023. Max is a well-behaved pup who responds to both verbal and non-verbal commands. He's crate-trained, full of energy, and thrives when given tasks to do. We believe he's an Australian Kelpie mix with some other breed. Max walks excellently on a harness and leash. Outdoors, Max can be protective if someone approaches too closely to him or his loved ones. He grew up in a household with another older dog, birds, and children. Due to changes in our circumstances, we need to find a new home for Max. He deserves to have more freedom than an apartment can provide, especially while we're away at work. Additionally, with a baby on the way in March, we worry that Max may not adjust well to the change, as he's used to interacting with slightly older children. If you have any questions or if I've missed any important details, please feel free to reach out to me at 530-554-5091. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
