Story
Dog Name: Willie Breed: Cattle dog mix Sex: Male Age: 10 month Weight: 30lb Medical Needs: None. Housebroken: Yes. Has used a dog door to go in and out as needed. Crate trained: Yes. Crated all day without any problems. Good in the car: Needs to be restrained or crated, otherwise he will be driving the car. Good on a leash: Yes. Energy level: High. Need a fenced in yard: No, but would need a way to get out all his energy. Dog Friendly: Yes If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Would do best with a companion to learn from Cat Friendly? Unknown. He’s had one interaction with a cat. Kid Friendly: Unknown. No kids in foster home. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Because of his breed mix, I would suggest no small children. He can be mouthy and jumpy Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Willie is a fun puppy. He loves to play ball and swim. He has a lot of energy but he eventually does settle in. He goes into his crate without an issue everyday. Being a cattle dog mix, he requires someone who will help channel his drive and energy in productive ways to help him be the best version of himself. Otherwise, he'll find alternative ways to amuse his wily self. Story
Remo! This warrior miracle knows his forever family will come. Is it you? Here is a reminder of this guy’s story…When he was only several weeks old, he was found in a ditch, dragging his hind quarters, possibly due to being hit by a car. Sadly, this little guy was left to die. Stray Network stepped up, rescued him, gave him a name and a chance. It was determined that Remo needed extensive surgeries to repair compressed discs in his spine and a severely broken back leg. In the months that he has been with us, he’s gone from being paralyzed to walking and even running short distances. Remo is consistently working hard to regain strength and to heal nerve damage in his back legs. This is done by having him up and walking around the house or yard. He is one determined, treat motivated guy! Remo loves attention from people. He enjoys playing with other dogs. He is good on a leash and is able to take short, leisurely walks. His forever family should realize that while he does have limitations, he is still healing and it’s beneficial to have him continue to work on moving and strengthening his back legs. No doubt he will his show his forever family lots of love and bring happiness to their lives. Remo is neutered and fully vetted! To apply for Remo, visit straynetwork.org
