Jagger was adopted in 2017 from a local animal shelter and is about 7 years young. Jagger is a blue heeler jack Russel terrier mix, he has a brown and black face but he is mostly white although he does have small black spots. Jagger is well trained (including crate trained) and does well walking on a leash. He is a goofy guy who loves playing fetch, tug-a-war, going for walks, cuddling and getting good boy treats. He was very good around children of all ages and does good in public environments. He is a very smart, loving, happy, talkative and playful dog. Jagger is very aware and alert of his surroundings. He shows strong desire to keep you safe.

Story
My name’s Rooster, and I’m a 3-year-old Red Heeler with the coolest coloring (just like my name)! I came to the shelter with my sister, Birdie, and we’ve been through a lot together, so it’d be awesome if we could find a home where we both get to stay, but I can also go solo if I need to. I’m a playful boy, but I’m not all wild energy. I’ve got a calm side too—especially when I’m hanging out with people I trust. I’m smart, loyal, and full of curiosity, always ready to explore and get involved in whatever you’re doing. But, let’s be honest, I’m also a dog who likes to have a purpose. Being a Heeler, I really thrive when I’ve got a job to do, whether it’s herding, playing games, or learning new things. If you’ve got a ranch or even a big yard where I can run and burn off some of my energy, we’ll be a perfect match! I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and a pro on a leash. I know how to “sit” and “place” when I need to, and toys? Oh, I love them! Whether it's fetch or a tug-of-war, I’m all in. Training is something I enjoy, and I’ll be ready to learn new things, especially if there’s a job involved! I’m super dog-specific, which means I get along best with a single dog household—unless I get to hang out with my sister, Birdie, of course. I’m not sure how I feel about cats, but I do have some experience with livestock, so I’m all about the herd life. I’ll be loyal to my family for life, but it’ll take me a little while to warm up to strangers. Once I know you’re “my person,” I’m all in—trustworthy, loving, and ready to have your back. I think I’d do best in a home with kids aged 10 and up. I’ve got some herding tendencies, so I like to be in charge sometimes, and I need a family who can respect my space when I need it. But once I know you, I’m a loyal buddy who’s up for any adventure! If you’ve got a ranch, room for me to run, and a loving heart to offer, I’d love to meet you! Let’s see if we’re a perfect match.

🐾 Meet Birdie – Your New Ranch-Hand with a Tail! Say hello to Birdie, a beautiful Blue Heeler mix who’s ready to find her perfect forever home—preferably one with a little land and a lot of love! Birdie isn’t just a pretty (silly) face—she’s the total package: housebroken, crate trained, calm, curious, and smart as a whip. This girl thrives when she has a purpose. She’s a true working dog at heart and would be happiest in a home where she can stay busy—whether it’s herding, helping out on the farm, or simply having a “job” to do each day. If you've got a ranch, farm, or just an active lifestyle, Birdie is more than ready to be your loyal sidekick. She’s wonderful with other dogs, livestock, cats, and older kids (10+), making her a fantastic fit for a busy household with a little bit of everything. Whether it’s tagging along for daily chores or just relaxing after a good day’s work, Birdie knows how to balance play and purpose like a pro. If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion who’s equal parts gentle, dependable, and hardworking, Birdie might just be the partner you’ve been missing. Give this good girl a job, a little love, and a lot of room to roam—and she’ll give you her whole heart in return. ❤️ Ready to meet Birdie? She’s ready to get to work!
