Meet Ranger – Your New Best Friend! Ranger is a loving and energetic 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix looking for his forever home! He’s a friendly and affectionate pup with a lot of love to give. He has basic training but would benefit from some additional guidance to reach his full potential. As a high-energy dog, Ranger would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. He does well with other pets but isn’t suited for a home with livestock. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to join your adventures, Ranger is the perfect match! Story
Maze is such a special pup. Ever since i got her when she was a puppy she would run right under my feet and just sit there. She is very much a family dog. As she has gotten older her energy needs have increased more than i can provide for her. I dont have a yard and work full time. She needs attention and room to run around. Our weekly trail runs and dog park adventures 3x a week is not enough, she needs a yard. Shes great by the way going to the bathroom outside. Shes a 4month old pup.

Story
HI - I'M WALNUT! I'm a 3-year-old Heeler mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I had a kennel mate. I'm petite and cute - and weigh only about 40 lbs. I get along great with other dogs and love people, too. I can be a bit shy at first but once I warm up, I'm your girl. I would love to be with an active person or people who can take me for walks, hikes and other fun outings. Please email for an application.

Story
Hi - I'm Abby. I'm a sweet and shy 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I was impounded and kenneled with several other dogs. While there, I was shaking - it was a tough experience for me. I am now in a better place, and starting to come out of my shell. I weigh only 28 pounds! I will do best in a quiet, calm home where I can get the exercise and love I so desperately crave and deserve. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2059610##

Story
Sweet, energetic Ellie was found walking across a busy highway in Caldwell, Idaho, on July 20, 2024. Efforts to find her people came up empty, and on Aug. 3 she delivered seven pups. Veterinarians estimate her age to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. She’s now spayed and weighs 40 pounds. Ellie is house trained, quite affectionate and happy. She’s high energy, agile and quick, a fast learner, enjoys interesting outings and mentally stimulating activities. Ellie enjoys playing with other dogs, leaves cats to themselves; although, she will chase if they run. She eats up praise, tasty food, and lots of love. She wants to be with her people at all times and snuggles in close when it’s time to settle down. She loves to play with children who will throw toys for her to chase and who appreciate her energy. Wisdom Panel DNA on one of the puppies revealed 77% Australian cattle dog, single-digit percentages of Mini-American Shepherd, Border Collie, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Collie. It is safe to say that Ellie is primarily Australian cattle dog. Ellie's adoption fee is $300 that includes spay, microchip and vaccines. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Ellie, please complete an adoption application located here: https://idawg.org/application.html

Story
Gimli is an amazing dog! He is so sweet and loves people. He is a protector and will let you know when people are at your house. He does great with one dog when introduced correctly but no more than one dog. He is a hunter. He will eat birds, chickens and will try for cats. He is being rehomed because of his relationship with one of our special needs dogs. I would keep him If it weren’t for that. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle. He has been raised with young kids and will love them and protect them.
