Story
Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids. Any additional information about me please ask the people in the office. To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-6pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. You may also submit an application online from our website at http://www.HelpTheAnimalsINC.com/adopt.

Story
Hello Dolly.... This cute Cattledog mix is a hurricane Ida survivor. Yep, rode all the way from Louisiana. Dolly is timid and takes a bit to get to know but once you do she is very affectionate and loving. Sometimes overly loving as she thinks she may be a lap dog. Dolly will need a family who can keep working on her social skills. She is a herding dog and will "herd" kids so no little kids for her new home. Dolly is house trained as long as she gets to go out frequently. She gets along with most other dogs but does take a slow introduction. As you can suspect she is very scared of storms, gun shots and loud banging so she will need a place to hide to feel comfortable when they occur. To adopt go to www.libertyacresunited.com and submit an application. Story
Meet Travis! He’s a little old man that still has some spunk left. Travis found his way to rescue by being abandoned from his family in a parking lot. Since then he's had a full dental and a good checkup! He's  8 to 10 years old, loves walks and toys - he’s easy to entertain! Travis would gladly fetch a ball in the living room or yard, go on a walk or event run if you want (he’s a spry ole guy). And at only 25 lb he's perfect for condo or apartment life. Travis is ready for his retirement and he qualifies for our Senior Soulmate program so get your application in today! Adoption fee is $200.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   August 18, 2024, 11:11 pm

Story
Nelson (Woody) Born 5/19/23; Heeler/terrier mix, 20lbs Woody was adopted as a young puppy, amd returned for behavioral issues due to his energy not being met. With some structure, and lots of fetching, Woody is ready to roll! He loves to play, but loves to snuggle just as much. He very much wants to be in your business, and apart of everything. He loves going for cars rides too! Woody will do best in a home that is familiar with Heeler behavior, and their needs. He is house trained, crate trained, and does well on a leash. Woody is current on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. We are accepting applications at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SHPA/Dog
