Story
Look at this beautiful girl! Rue is a young adult Red Heeler/Cattle Dog. Rue is a little shy at first, but you'll soon find that she is a loving, sweet and playful girl. Rue loves to play with balls and her squeaky toys. Rue is house trained and knows a few commands (sit and fetch). Rue gets along beautifully with dogs of her own size or larger. She does not get along with small dogs. We expect that she may not be good with cats either, due to their size. Rue is approximately 40 lbs and her foster says that her fur is very soft. Rue's DOB: 6/1/23 Adoption fee is $175. Rue is spayed and current on vaccines. If interested in adopting Rue, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application

He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He does not like toddlers, but tolerates older children. He is fine with cats, chickens, female dogs, and some male dogs - it just depends on their temperament. Ziggy is totally house trained, and sleeps inside or outside depending on the weather. He does OK on leash and in the car. If you are interested in Ziggy, please contact Carla at 828-395-3641.

Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Patches is a young blue heeler/pit bull terrier mix. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is very friendly, loves dogs, and plays with children and cats. While she can be somewhat hyper, she can follow basic commands such as sit, howdy, and lay down. The owner has trained her not to jump on her, but when company comes, she gets excited and will jump. She loves to show affection by licking. The owner unfortunately cannot deal with her hyperness in the house, so she is chained up outside. Her chain reaches all the way to the front porch, and she has a small front yard. She uses the bathroom outside, but when she was smaller, she was kept in the house and she was fully housebroken. When the owner's health permits, Patches goes for walks. She walks well with a training collar. The owner feels that Patches would be happier in an environment where she could have more freedom (e.g., a fenced-in yard), and with people who have more energy to deal with her. She is a very loving dog that just needs the right people. If you are interested in Patches, please email stephanie@heartofthefoothills.org

She is 40 lbs, spayed, and microchipped as well as up-to-date on her vaccines. She’s super social, loves people and her stuffed animals we call her babies. Her favorite thing ever is butt rubs. She loves the snow and being outside, she does good on walks around town and likes meeting new people.
