Story
This sweet girl is a Cattle Dog rescued by Piedmont Animal Rescue from Western NC, and her journey is nothing short of inspiring! When she first came into foster care, she was completely shut down and terrified of the world around her. But with love, patience, and the companionship of her foster brothers and sisters, she’s blossoming in ways we couldn’t have imagined thanks to our partners at Elevation K9 Training. Her Amazing Progress: • She’s now eating comfortably alongside her foster siblings. • She plays and seeks out engagement from people she once feared. • She’s building confidence with every new field trip and exposure to the world. This beautiful girl still has some learning and growing to do, but her progress shows she’s on the path to becoming a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a forever family that can continue helping her discover how amazing life can be. Could you be the one to show her the love and stability she deserves? Lucy's adoption fee includes a MANDATORY series of training to ensure ongoing success for her and her new humans.  ($350 value). Story
Meet Nora! Nora is a petite and sweet 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix that weighs about 30lbs.. She loves her foster siblings (3 dogs and a cat).  Nora is interested in the cat, but she is not aggressive and backs away when told. Nora is fully housebroken and sleeps on a dog bed at night.  A secure fenced yard would be a plus as she loves to be outside and run and play with other dogs.  She really likes to be with her person and would love to snuggle on the couch at the end of the day.  Nora can be a little shy at first, but she is a wonderful, sweet girl and has come a long way in a short time. Nora's ideal home would be with a woman, as she can be a bit skittish around men. If you are a patient, caring woman, looking for a loyal companion, Nora hopes you apply, because she can't wait to meet you!    Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
Hello, I`m Casanova! I`m a 36# 2yr old male Heeler Mix. My friends say I`m sweet, friendly, and a little goofy. I love making people laugh with my funny antics. Loyalty? I`ve got it in spades. I`m always there to cheer you up or just for a cuddle when you need it. My smarts? Well, I`m always up for learning new tricks. Playtime is my favorite, especially when I get to play with my fellow doggie pals. I get along with everyone, two legs or four. If you adopt me, you`re not just getting a pet, you`re getting a loyal friend, a comedian, a cuddle buddy, and a lifelong companion. I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and lots of play. I can`t wait to meet you and start our adventures together! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link https://www.humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/jenm Or contact Jennifer at fireball7705@yahoo.com
