She spent some time in a foster home with kids and larger dogs when coming into rescue and is now in a home with two medium sized dogs. Haley is good with dogs but really does seem to prefer all of my attention! She wants nothing more than to sit and snuggle or give her person hugs. Haley is potty trained and has done well with kennel training. She barks some when she goes in but settles in less than 5-10 minutes and is quiet all night long. She has some heeler qualities and would do best with a family who wants to give her regular exercise and play.  I think Haley would be fine being the only dog or having other dogs around. She likes toys and chews but doesn’t seem to need to play with my dogs. She is super smart and learned how to walk on the treadmill in one session! Haley is a super cool dog who is already through the puppy stages and ready to be your lifelong companion! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org January 9, 2025, 1:44 pm

Story
Intake Date: 18 October 2024 -------- Age at intake: 5 years ----- Breed: Border Collie/Heeler mix ----- Size: 25 lbs ----- Status: Owner passed away ----- Compatible with: Dogs, older children, cats Unknown. He has been around them but will chase them if they run. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Nervous with new people, shy ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Clay! Clay has had a bit of a rough go lately. His owner passed away and so he came to rescue with his buddy, Happy. These two are a dynamic duo. They really like one another and are definitely seeking comfort thorugh familiarity. Clay was slow to warm up to us but he is coming around. Once he does trust, he is super loving. He needs and deserves a patient owner. Due to his shyness and fear, we do not recommend young children/toddlers who will get in his face and expect him to tolerate it. It is very important that animals are given time to settle in and adjust, especially with they have experienced something traumatic. Clay is a nice size little guy. He is exceptionally clean and well mannered too! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.

Story
COURTESY LISTING FOR OWNER – CALL HEIDI @ 701-799-4957 This is Rue! She is a one-year-old spayed female Blue Heeler. She did have a front leg amputated due to a previous accident before she came to our farm, but that doesn't slow her down! This girl needs a job! Reason for rehoming is she is hard on our senior dog, and she likes to chase the horses. A farm with some cattle to keep her busy would be perfect. She loves people and is good with cats. She stays inside the house at night, and does well. She also loves her Rides! Rue is spayed, current on vaccinations, and also has been treated with Bravecto. Please call Heidi at 701-799-4957. Anyone inquiring about Courtesy Listings with the Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals (SVFA) should contact the current pet owner for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. SVFA has no first-hand knowledge of the animals listed. SVFA explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from this private adoption nor makes any guarantees about the health or safety of these animals.

Story
Banjo and Bingo came to us after their time was up at the pound. When we first met them, they were incredibly timid, especially Banjo. He can be a little fear reactive towards men, but opens up to women quickly. Since being with us, he has really opened up and his personality comes out more and more. Banjo can sit on command and loves going for walks, but he does pull on the leash, so he needs some work on that. He’s a big boy and weighs around 70 pounds. Because Banjo is a heeler mix, he comes with all the heeler antics and will need a firm handler. He would do best with older children because of those heeler antics as well. Banjo is neutered and up to date on vaccines ##1211855##
