Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue with puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She loves walks and just discovered how much she loves the sand volleyball court! This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". When you wake up, she's looking at you like "What are we going to do today?", but she is not afraid to be alone either. She will do best with a person who responds in a calm, relaxed approach. She is highly intelligent, affectionate and loyal and attaches quickly to one person. She loves everyone though. She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love and patience to show her she is safe and part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other dogs, just not puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. Apply today!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2024, 10:58 am

Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Meet EMMA! 🐾 This adorable GIRL has just come into the rescue and has stolen hearts all along the way. Coat is very shiny, healthy, and soft. Can you believe those adorable ears? EMMA is approximately 8 weeks old. We believe she will be on the mid-size dog. You can tell by her personality already that she is going to make someone a wonderful companion. She has the perfect energy one is looking for in a pup. Energy level – not too little and not too much. 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful, and energetic. Has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with her foster mates. She is fostering in a home in Memphis, TN and her foster mom would love to tell you all about her. Going to be great family companion and already wants to be your new best friend! 🏡 Ideal Home: Would do great in a family that has space to roam and explore, and maybe even another doggy sibling to make friends with. Perfect with another dog or perfectly content to be the only pup. If you are looking for a life-long companion and friend this little doll is perfect for you. If you’re ready to give a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! Let’s find this sweet pup the forever home. 🐶💕 Once adopted, will travel via the Rescue Transport to new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Frankincense, or Frank, is currently in foster care. He is a gentle senior soul that gets along with all dogs, loves to snuggle, and prefers your pillow over any dog bed. He is sensitive around his neck and a little head shy but never aggressive. He uses steps to get on and off the bed and the couch because of a narrowing in his spine that limits his mobility and causes him pain at certain angles. He tolerates crating but much prefers to be loose when you are gone. We are considering this guy a medical special needs case, so if you're interested in potential adoption, please reach out to us so we can discuss his needs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Frankincense home. If you are interested in meeting Frankincense, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
LuCe came to us after being found roaming the streets. She had been tied to a tree in the sun for long periods of time and had no hair and was full of fleas. The owner refused to take her back after she had been found. I have had her for 6 years, and in October I got married. After combining households we have 6 kids, and it’s too much stimulation for her. She’s gotten grouchy with my other dog, and gets overwhelmed when too many people are around. She’s a loving girl and I hate letting her go. I will not give her up unless I find the perfect situation for her. She is on an inexpensive medication for anxiety, and becomes very attached to her human. She took to my husband very quickly as you can see in the picture. She’s used to someone being home so she’s rarely goes in a cage. She loves car rides and willingly goes with the vet when I take her. She’s a big lap dog and sleeps with us.

Story
DobbieMaleAge: 2.5 YearsWeight: 55 lbsBreed: Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd MixGood With: Dogs, Cats, Kids Hi, I’m Dobbie! I am an energetic, cuddly and curious boy, who gets along great with other dogs and cats! I also love kids, but I am quite excitable so would do best in a home without young kids.  I am house trained and crate trained – although I do well when left out of my crate too! I love learning new things, have completed several training programs, and have mastered all the basics like walking on a leash, basic commands (sit, stay, down, come, wait, okay, no) and can even “place” on command.  I would love an adopter who can continue learning and growing with me and challenging me to be my best self. Being a young Cattle Dog mix, I will need an active adopter who is ideally experienced with herding or working breeds. I would also love a fenced in back yard for games of fetch although this is not required. In my free time I love to PLAY, be outdoors, cuddle, and be as close to my humans and fur siblings as physically possible. I also REALLY love to give kisses and I’ve never tasted a treat I don’t like! I can’t wait to have an adopter all my own who will provide me all the love and the active lifestyle I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Dobbie, apply to adopt at: www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 10 years old or older. ##1385204##
