Story
Meet Gizmo!Gizmo is a high energy boy looking for a new home! He would benefit from a home with herding breed experience, as he does display herding and corralling behaviors typical of his breeds. His ideal home would be someone who has lots of time to devote to exercise, enrichment, and training to keep his mind occupied! Herding breeds are very smart and, if not given a job, can get into mischief.Gizmo would be open to meeting other high energy dogs, and has previously lived with a cat. He would need an adult only home. If you're interested in meeting Gizmo, he is located at the Danville PSPCA on Bloom Rd. -- open daily from 12:00pm - 6:00pm (no appointment needed - all people in the home required to meet the dog before going forward with adoption, along with any dogs in the home with proof of Rabies Vaccine & DHPP Vaccine). If you have any questions about him, feel free to call the shelter at 570-275-0340 or email us at Danville@PSPCA.org

Story
Alfie is a sweet (but shy) young cattle dog mix looking for a new home. He came to us with his sisters, Coralee and Anaalee, from a rescue in Mississippi! He is neutered and likes other dogs. Alfie needs someone with patience and understanding. He would do best with some positive training to help build his confidence. Alfie would be okay in a home with older teenagers. If you would like to adopt please fill out an application at www.hillsidespca.com. Alfie would require multiple visits before feeling comfortable with you.

Story
Bambi was surrendered as a blue heeler...bought from an auction at the jersey shore last summer. I'm not going to be the one to tell her she isn't very blue heeler-ish because she's perfect just the way she is! Bambi is high energy and ready for an active family to come adopt her! She previously lives with children and gets along with other dogs, and she is housebroken and crate trained too!

Story
Meet Anna Anna is a 3 year old, pitbull mix who had a rough start to life being used over and over again for breeding purposes which has caused her to be a nervous lady in certain situations. She is in search of a forever home that can give her some stability. Anna would love nothing more than to live in the safety and comforts of a home with a family that will give her the love and attention she's always deserved. She will need an owner that is patient and understanding of her past; a low-traffic, adult only home where she could be the only pet would be ideal for her. She loves going for walks, playing with toys (she's a pro at fetch!) and getting belly rubs from staff. Anna is spayed, microchipped & up to date on vaccines. If you have a nice relaxing couch with an empty seat waiting to be filled- Go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form! (It can be found under the adoptable dogs section).

Story
This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Updated info as of 8/3/24:  Aldo is a really cool, fun dog. He is a sweet, friendly pup ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog or if you need a buddy to join you on hikes, runs, or walks, Aldo would be a great choice! BREED A DNA test done on his sister shows he is 51% Australian Cattle Dog, 34% German Shepherd, 1% Collie, 1% Bohemian Shepherd, 8% Husky, 3% Chow, and 2% Chihuahua. He's about 40-45 pounds currently and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He is short and has the build of a Cattle dog.  KIDSHe recently met some young children when he was out for an ice cream with his foster mom. He was good with them though he does jump and may knock smaller kiddos over out of playfulness/excitement. He LOVES people! He’s also been good with 12 year old kids that he has spent time with. DOGS Yes, he is good with other dogs. He LOVES to play! He does play a little rough.  CATSProbably not. We think he’d be a bit too rough on cats and risk their safety. AGE Estimated DOB 11/1/23. OTHERHe LOVES tennis balls He will entertain himself with them if no nobody wants to play. He usually brings them back if you throw them. He LOVES people! He is crate trained and very close to being house trained. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate too! He needs work on leash training. He is a busy boy who will need someone to give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He has the Cattle dog energy. He hasn't been on a lot of car rides but has done well on the few he's been on. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. In New England.
