Story
Astrid was somewhat wild when she first arrived at the local shelter. We transferred her and her sister to Hallie Hill to begin socialization. She enjoys the company of other dogs and exhibits playfulness. Astrid appears to be intelligent and is food-driven. She tolerates being touched by people and will walk on a leash, although she may never take pleasure in visiting new places or strolling through crowded areas. With time and patience, this beautiful girl may make a great companion.

Story
Meet Astra! She is about 5 years old and just shy of 40lbs. She has lived with dogs big and small. Astra walks well on leash and with the pack of dogs. She has never been crated but uses a dog door and LOVES to be outside. Astra is easy going and very chill. She would do best with a fenced yard where she could lounge and wander inside at her leisure. She seems to enjoy a kiddie pool! Astra is not cat or chicken friendly! She has done fine in a fenced yard and is a quiet gal. If you are looking for an easy, independent and calm girl Astra may be for you! **Astra is currently heartworm positive.

Story
Sweet Kitty! She is looking for her forever home that understands that her time is going to be limited, whether months or years we don't know. Kitty is 10 years old and came to us from one of our local partner shelters. Unfortunately when she was spayed she had a mass biopsied that came back as osteosarcoma. You wouldn't know looking at her that anything was wrong and she is currently living her life to the fullest. She gets along great with dogs, cats and kids and even shares her time with a tortoise in her foster home. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, prevention and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is reduced to $100. Please use this link for the application to be approved: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SGVJMGQYAugust 19, 2024, 12:12 pm

Story
Jaxx is the sweetest most loyal pup. I got him from a breeder upstate. He was raised on a farm near animals children and cats. He is very smart and very loyal. He is so well behaved for a puppy. He loves walks and going to the beach or park to play fetch. Unfortunately I dont have as much time as I thought I would to raise him so I would love to find a forever home for him. He comes with a bed, LOTS of toys, treats, bowls, food, brush, harness and leash. Please message me with any questions! He is ready to go home as soon as you are ready! He has papers for all his current shots and birthdate. There’s a re-home fee because i bought him for much more and he is very well bred and taken care of. If you would like the info for his breeders I can send you it!

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Mt. Pleasant, SC Meet Cruz! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd/English Shepherd mix and weighs 50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Cruz is hostile around strangers if they come into the home or try to pet him! He is fine on walks with people around. He is good with other dogs! No children, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. He is on Prozac for his anxiety/distrust of strangers. Once he trusts you, he loves to snuggle! Cruz has bitten two people. He bit a gardener after they reached over the fence to try and pet him (after Cruz was already barking at him). He also bit a handyman who was at their house. The owner walked outside to grab something and didn’t realize the worker was about 10 steps behind her. The worker opened the door and walked outside, causing Cruz to run over and nip him. He also barked at him while standing between him and the owner. The owner is surrendering him because their house is too busy for him and they are expecting a baby. They have worked with veterinary behaviorists and trainers, but his fear aggression and protective tendencies haven’t improved. He needs to go by 10/1! If you think you can provide a great home for Cruz, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. The owner is willing to cover this fee and match it, for the right home. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Cruz. Owner’s Contact Information: Lauren at laurenstamey@gmail.com.
