Bear is a sweet, energetic dog with Heterochromia (one blue eye) who loves to be around people who show him love. He was picked up as a stray in Georgia, spent some time in NYC, and is now being fostered in CT where he is THRIVING. He's able to run around and explore the outdoors, his two favorite hobbies. In a matter of a few days, Bear has become a lot more comfortable with the new surroundings and really started to show his affectionate side. He absolutely loves to play and loves to cuddle. Bear is housebroken and crate trained. Currently he has a crate inside his playpen, but chooses to sleep/hang out in the playpen with no issues - he sleeps through the night and relaxes (after a bit of whining) during the day. He’s very smart and food-motivated and responds very well to daily training. Bear has not been aggressive around his food and is the gentlest treat-taker you've ever seen. Bear loves to go for car rides! Personally, I like having him in the backseat with his seatbelt on, he prefers to be a passenger. Bear walks best with his harness and benefits from continued leash training. He is an energetic, athletic, strong dog and would do great with people who enjoy outdoor activies as well. Orlando was found on a street as a puppy by Good Samaritan who brought her to shelter SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, where he was raised with love and care. Hello from Connecticut, I am a handsome and friendly Kelpie/Siberian Husky mix named River, about 2-1/2 years old, on the smaller side at about 35 lbs, and I am one cool dude. I have a medium energy level, and can read the room… calm and easygoing indoors… playful and energetic outdoors. I was originally a Texas dog, patiently waiting for adoption at a Laredo Animal Shelter when 4 Little Paws Rescue took me in. A few months later, my dreams came true, and I was adopted in Connecticut, but sadly, due to a family illness, I must now find a new future. I’m sweet and affectionate, love to cuddle, and am not too proud to admit I love doggy toys. I’m playful and would enjoy having a built-in doggy friend when I get adopted again. I love the outdoors even when it's cold. I am well-behaved, housebroken, and quiet even when all the household dogs start barking like crazy, I will look to see what’s going on but maintain my dignity and not join in. I can walk nicely on a leash and be a good boy while riding in the car. I’m loyal, social, and self-assured; I’ve got it all going on! I’m currently staying in a CT foster home, so come over and meet me, but be prepared to fall in love and take me home! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. Meet Bear! Bear is a big handsome boy who is very affectionate and gentle :D He was rescued from High-kill shelter that runs by city by our rescue team. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs.
