Story
Kona is a sweet girl who is about a year old and was found as a stray. She was brought in by animal control but was never reclaimed. We believe she might be a kelpie mix and is shy at first, but if you get down to her level she’s sweet as pie and will crawl into your lap. She bonds quickly with her handlers and aims to please. Kona has done exceptionally well with other dogs and would likely love a home with another energetic dog she can run around with. Kona is about 30 lbs and has a beautiful chocolate colored coat. She has soulful, human-like eyes and the most adorable little prance. Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to www.easelnj.org/adopt to submit an adoption application. Someone will be in touch within 48 hours.

Story
Bear is a sweet, energetic dog with Heterochromia (one blue eye) who loves to be around people who show him love. He was picked up as a stray in Georgia, spent some time in NYC, and is now being fostered in CT where he is THRIVING. He's able to run around and explore the outdoors, his two favorite hobbies. In a matter of a few days, Bear has become a lot more comfortable with the new surroundings and really started to show his affectionate side. He absolutely loves to play and loves to cuddle. Bear is housebroken and crate trained. Currently he has a crate inside his playpen, but chooses to sleep/hang out in the playpen with no issues - he sleeps through the night and relaxes (after a bit of whining) during the day. He’s very smart and food-motivated and responds very well to daily training. Bear has not been aggressive around his food and is the gentlest treat-taker you've ever seen. Bear loves to go for car rides! Personally, I like having him in the backseat with his seatbelt on, he prefers to be a passenger.  Bear walks best with his harness and benefits from continued leash training. He is an energetic, athletic, strong dog and would do great with people who enjoy outdoor activies as well. Personality & Characteristics: Energetic, Athletic, Smart, Strong, AffectionateMy foster dog is good with: Dogs, KidsMy foster dog is: Crate trained, House trained, Low ShedEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 7Barker or Quiet?: Chatty when he needs to go to the bathroom or when he wants to play. Whines a little when put in his crate but quiets down after a few minutes.Walking Manners: Walks best with harness and leash hooked on chest. Can get distracted but corrects quickly Commands/Tricks: Sit, Stay, Down, Paw, No. Working on 'Leave it' Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States ##1828063##

Story
Hi! My name is Carla. I am one and a half years old. I am believed to be an Australian Kelpie or maybe an Australian Shepherd mix. Mainly, I am mixed with love! I am a very happy, energetic, loyal, alert, eager and extremely intelligent young girl with puppy like tendencies. Due to my breed, I am capable of untiring work and endless energy if so desired. I would fit in best with an active lifestyle that includes lots of opportunities to exercise in a large fenced-in yard where I can zip around and show off my athleticism. I can run really fast. My foster mom says I'm like a bullet when I'm running at top speed! Kelpies and Australian Shepherds prefer to have a job to do as they were created to herd sheep and cattle. I will need stimulation and small tasks to keep my mind active and my energy in check. A good job or a workout combined with the mental exercise of obedience lessons would help me be my best version of myself. The mental exercise that the training provides would be a great way to keep me happy and involved. Training me for agility, obedience and rally are some great ways to give me some exercise. Although I sound like a lot of work, I can be chill as well so don't be scared off! I would be an excellent choice for adults and/or families with older (teenage) children that love to play and keep me entertained. While I love being super energetic, I also have an "off" switch too. I'm super happy if you take me out for a run, but I will be just as happy to settle down and snuggle on the couch afterwards to watch a movie. I enjoy being walked twice a day to sniff the neighborhood and do my business. I currently know how to sit and leave it. My foster mom is teaching me some additional words and some other useful commands as well. I learn really fast!! When you meet me you will notice that I have a great smile, love being petted, enjoy fetching and chewing on tennis balls, playing tug with my rope toy, and getting belly rubs. Scratches behind my ears make me very happy as well. I apologize upfront as I can be a bit bossy with other dogs...sorry...kind of a breed characteristic, so I would prefer to be an only dog and cats make my "chase" button turn on, so best to avoid those as well. But don't worry, I can certainly fill up your home with lots of fur baby fun! If you would like to open your heart and your home to me, please email STORKWOODS@COMCAST.NET directly. This is the BEST way to get an application. I am being fostered in Middle TN but there is transport available to fabulous homes in the NE.

Story
CiCi and Coral are 2 tiny babies that are fun and such awesome little rambunctious boogers. These 2 pups were seen running around a dirt road, with no houses or people for miles. The person picked them up and took them home, gave them a nice cool bath, got their bellies full and they slept for hours on comfy blankets. We estimate they were born around June 5th and as of 7/25, they weigh 3.2-3.5 lbs. We do not know who their parents are, but based on coloring we believe there is some heeler mix in there, Coral could have some shepherd of some sort. We do not know who their parents are, so we don’t know exact breeds. These babies are super friendly and would thrive in medium active households. They LOVE to play. They’ll run all around their playpen with toys just swinging them around; the toys are bigger than they are! CiCi and Coral are kissers. They’ll lick your face, your feet, your arms, anywhere they can reach. They love to be held and cuddled, and they fit so perfectly in your arms! Entertaining and sweet are the 2 best words to describe them. When they’re on the go, they want to explore and see everything they can. They’re very curious of this new inside world around them and love to put their little noses in everything they can. They would do wonderful with children; they are just so happy to be around people. CiCi and Coral are talkers – They want to tell you about their day and how upset they were that they didn’t get extra meal portions. They LOVE their food. These rambunctious little girls have met other dogs and cats, and they love all the animals they meet! They would thrive in a home with or without other animals. If you’re looking for a fantastic family puppy, a puppy that can grow with your children or in your home, and that just has a wonderful personality, CiCi or Coral would be an amazing addition to all types of families. ____________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. A certificate of health is issued from a vet prior to transport. We are a small, struggling rescue in Texas where we do our best to prevent euthanasia in shelters and help stray and neglected animals find forever homes. Adoption fees are our only source of funding for the rescue. Unless otherwise specified at the top of the profile for this animal, this animal is considered to be located in foster care in Texas and available for transport once adopted.
