Story
Arya is an energetic, playful, snuggle bug. She is four years old & we’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old. This is absolutely the toughest decision we’ve ever made, but she has not adjusted well to our infant & needs a home ASAP. Arya loves to go for runs, walks, bike rides, hikes, & car rides. She is well-trained. She is fully house trained, leash trained, & crate trained. She loves to snuggle & give kisses but needs someone that can keep up with her love to play. She’s such a happy dog & will make an incredible companion. She is a high energy breed, so she would be best suited for someone who is active or has a large fenced in yard for her to play. She loves to play tug-of-war, keep away, & fetch. She's very intelligent & loves to practice her training and puzzles! Although Arya's not comfortable with young children, she loves new people & is perfect for anyone looking for a one pet household! Arya would do well with middle to high school aged children.

Story
Meet Jasper - a 1.5-year-old mix rescued from a high kill shelter. He is a friendly guy about 45lbs, neutered, and up to date on shots. He was heartworm positive but is almost finished with treatment and doing very well. He’s house trained and learning basic commands. Jasper is thriving in a social environment and would love a home with a dog sibling or friends. He is pretty chill and would also do well as a single person’s best buddy. Jasper is smart and treat motivated. As a former stray, he can compete for food and treats, so should be fed separately to feel safe. The agile Jasper can jump six foot fences. When he’s happy in his own yard, he will stay put unless he hears something interesting. But, his new family should plan the yard accordingly or rely on leashed walks. Jasper is usually quiet but can howl mournfully if left alone. He would do well with a routine and learning to trust that his people will be back. Story
Key words: • chill vibes• affectionate• Affectionate towards people• not good with other dogs• heartworm positive; ongoing treatment• good working from home• not a barkerMy name is Rolando, but you can call me Rolly, and I am an 8 year old Australian cattle dog mix.I was at the Wake County Animal Shelter from June to July before going home with a foster family. If you want a low-maintenance, chill-energy dog, then I'm the one you're looking for.I enjoy lounging, looking for affection, and walks (which have to be shorter because I'm heartworm positive).I love meeting new people. If I see someone, I will want to go say hi, which is great, because I'm a big hit in this neighborhood! However, I am very up-front with other dogs and can't help myself with boundaries - I like to go right up to them and this is off-putting to most other dogs. For this reason, I need to be monitored closely when I'm around other dogs.I'm neutered, housebroken, and receiving treatment for my heartworms and I'm ready to bring love and affection to a new family. Story
Marcella is a happy, silly girl looking for her second forever home. She was adopted as a puppy but came back recently because her family could not take care of her anymore.Marcella does well with everyone with proper introductions, which are very important because she's deaf. You really can't tell though, because she's very observant and pays close attention. For a dog that can't hear, she listens really well!Marcella is looking for a low-key home (she can get kind of amped up in chaos) with a family that will support her journey to wellness. She has some joint issues but gets around just fine. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and very smart. If you're interested in learning more about Marcella, email her foster mom at diadrascritters@gmail.com.
