Story
We are seeking a new forever home for our sweet dog, Marley. She's an affectionate and obedient companion, knowing commands like "sit," "lay down," and "fetch." Marley is best as the only dog in the household and is not suitable for homes with infants or small children due to past incidents. Marley loves to cuddle, play ball, and will comfort you when you're feeling down. She enjoys snacks like carrots and watermelon and is a bit spoiled (in the best way!). She also has a strong hunting instinct, so any critters in the yard beware! If you’re looking for a loyal and intelligent companion, Marley may be the perfect fit for you! Please reach out if interested. Thank you for considering giving Marley a loving home!

Story
I acquired Denver from a breeder off of Facebook that is no longer breeding dogs. He is three years old and full of life and energy. He is a very loyal obedient Aussie. He can be territorial at times with other dogs entering his home but gets used to them after awhile. He is initially unsure about strangers but once he gets to know you he loves you. Very patient and good with kids. I unfortunately do not have the time that he needs and would like to give him to a loving/caring home.

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Littleton, NC Meet Qtip! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix and weighs 50 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. He is good with older children! No younger children, because he is nervous around them. He is good with the other dogs inside of the home, but hasn’t been tested around dogs outside of the home. The owner is surrendering him because their child is allergic to him. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Qtip, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Qtip. Owner’s Contact Information: Rachel at rblyon7@gmail.com.

Story
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Willow Spring, NC *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Bo! He is an 10 month old Australian Shepherd and weighs between 50-60 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Bo is fearful of strangers and older children! He is good with cats and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around younger children. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Bo bit a person on the lip after they put their face in front of his. He is aggressive when people touch him, so he will require space. The owner is surrendering him because of his behavioral issues. They are also moving to a smaller home and are unable to provide the space that Bo needs. He needs to go by 2/21! If you think you can provide a great home for Bo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Story
Hello my name is Journey. I am an Australian Shepherd mix. I am a lovable companion and looking for a new home. Quick facts: * Male, neutered * 9 years old * 55 pounds * House trained * Good with owners, adults * Fully vaccinated * Healthy I have been a loyal dog to my owners since being rescued eight years ago in Raleigh, NC. At first, I was a great companion to my single owner. Then, when my owner became married, I enjoyed the new relationship. A few weeks ago, a new baby was born and now things are too busy here, so I am currently staying with my grandparents. I enjoy being a great companion. I can be rather independent too. You might find me sitting next to you on the sofa, or more often than not you may find that I am resting in a quiet place of the house for a long nap. I do like to go outside a couple times a day. I like to play once in a while by pulling on a rope toy. I don’t like loud noises - such as thunderstorms - or strange sounds. I am not comfortable around other dogs and cats. I answer to most commands and I come when called. I go by Journey, Jay, or J-Dog. I hope you will consider me as your future companion. Please contact michael.g.scheu@gmail.com

Story
Paxton is a charming little puppy with the most gorgeous eyes you’ve ever seen! Paxton is a playful little guy who loves spending time with the dogs in his foster home, whether it's playing, napping, or exploring the great outdoors. He's a fan of chewing on sticks and discovering new things, but don’t worry—he’s also motivated by treats, which is helping him with his house training! While he’s a little shy at first, his sweet and lovable personality shines through once he feels comfortable. Paxton is great about sleeping through the night and will thrive in a home with another playful dog to be his bestie and snuggle buddy. If you're looking for a sweet and cute companion, Paxton might just be the perfect fit!

Story
Theo is a 10 year old Australian Shepard mini we think. He is a protector. He loves to cuddle and go on walks. Apartment life was not for him. We are looking for a good home with a yard he can play around in. He is very cautious with strangers at first and will bark but once he gets to know you he is a cuddler. We are seeking an experienced dog owner.

Story
We got Mikasa as a puppy from a breeder, she just turned 4 years old. When we got her, we had one older child but then had a newborn a little over a year after bringing her home. She is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever been around, but has a LOT of energy. We couldn’t keep her inside anymore because of the baby. We have a very small backyard and Mikasa quickly outgrew it. She needs a larger space to roam and run! We have another Aussie older than her (they get along great) who is experiencing some arthritis issues and needs to be inside more. We don’t think it’s fair to them both to have one in and one out. This isn’t something we want to do but we do need to…it will be a very sad day for our family when and if she leaves, but we’ll be happy knowing she’s going to go to another loving family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Adora is adorable! We are not exactly sure what her mix is. Mom somewhat resembles an Aussie mix. But it's also entirely possible there's some catahoula leopard dog in the mix as well. Whatever she is, she is 100% amazing. She has stunning blue eyes. We believe Adora is also deaf or partially deaf. This doesn't make her any less adoptable. She may also have some vision issues but she is not blind. We took her to an animal eye care vet and she confirmed that Adora can see. It's recommended that she go back at 4 months just to make sure there's no vision concerns.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2025, 11:49 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Glimmer is a gorgeous, vocal baby who is just over 6 weeks old. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bixby is a wonderfully sweet boy.  He loves being an inside dog, he is for sure a lap dog.  He loves all people and all dogs, he seems to prefer female dogs his size or smaller, he was a little uncertain around his Newfoundland foster brother, who is enormous compared this compact boy, but is finding his confidence around him. Bixby is great with kids, however, due to his young age, any kids in the home should be at least 6 years old.   He will do best in a home with at least another canine companion, preferably a female to help burn off energy.  If his adopter is very active then he'd do very well in that environment without a canine companion.   Bixby has a lot of energy, so he will require a fenced yard, physical fencing attached to the home, no underground fencing, so he will be safe getting his energy out.  He loves playing fetch and rough housing with one of his foster sisters.  He settles excellently inside the home once all energy is used up.  Bixby has been neutered, microchipped and is update to date on all vaccines and preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 15, 2025, 1:10 pm

Story
Arya is an energetic, playful, snuggle bug. She is four years old & we’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old. This is absolutely the toughest decision we’ve ever made, but she has not adjusted well to our infant & needs a home ASAP. Arya loves to go for runs, walks, bike rides, hikes, & car rides. She is well-trained. She is fully house trained, leash trained, & crate trained. She loves to snuggle & give kisses but needs someone that can keep up with her love to play. She’s such a happy dog & will make an incredible companion. She is a high energy breed, so she would be best suited for someone who is active or has a large fenced in yard for her to play. She loves to play tug-of-war, keep away, & fetch. She's very intelligent & loves to practice her training and puzzles! Although Arya's not comfortable with young children, she loves new people & is perfect for anyone looking for a one pet household! Arya would do well with middle to high school aged children.

Story
Meet Jolene! Jolene is in search of a loving foster (in the Raleigh area) or a forever home! At just 34 pounds, she’s the perfect-sized companion who adores her stuffed toys and snuggles. Currently staying with our trainer, she’s been learning so much and thriving. Jolene has plenty of energy and would do great in a busy, active home that can keep her engaged. While she absolutely loves every human she meets, she prefers to be the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention. This doesn’t make her any less wonderful—it just means she loves being the star! We’re hoping to find Jolene a forever family who will give her the love she deserves.
