Story
He is a one-year-old 31 pound Australian Kelpie that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 2/18 as a stray. I was met in the kennel with wiggles and wags. I sat down when I first got out into the yard, and he came to me literally washing my face with kisses. Instead of the expression he/she is a people’s person he’s a people’s dog. He’s very social and appears to love everyone. He stays very close looking up at you! He does jump on you but it’s very gently. It’s obvious that he wants you to love on him. With coaxing he will sit for treats. He takes treats gently. He’s extremely sweet, very loving and calm. He’s probably housebroken as he kept his kennel clean, and it was obvious he had held it for some time! He was a little bit hesitant on a leash, but since he wants to please he would gladly learn so he can go for walks with you. A snuggle bug like this definitely wants to be a to be a house dog.

She a year and 4 and a half months, neutered, Shepard mix. She’s also chipped and has all her basic shots. She’s very shy and scared at first but does warm up to owner very quick. She’s good with older kids 6 and up. Loves to cuddle. She’s been getting a little aggressive over her food lately but not sure if it’s because of the other dogs. Has not bit anyone but has been snapping at anyone coming too fast when we’re together but has not snapped or barked at me.
