Meet Canelo, a one-year-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds. Canelo is a friendly boy who is a great medium size. He is at a fantastic age to start his training and will be like a sponge soaking up all of the info. He gets very excited when he sees dogs on leash, but seems like he just really wants to play with them. We confirmed this when we let him outside with another dog we have and they had a heyday playing! His finder said he rode well in their car but recommended he goes to a home with no cats as he likes to chase them. This enthusiastic boy can`t wait to go on walks and would love to go on hikes if that is something you are interested in, if not he is cool with running around a backyard instead. Canelo is going to be so much fun for someone. This pet is available for adoption on 1/7/2025 at 4:01 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Mushu was dumped at a state park that we live close to, when we saw he needed help, we jumped in. He takes a lot of time to give his trust, we assume he has a background of being hurt. It is best to approach him slow or let him come to you. When he trusts you he is the sweetest and wants to lay right on your head. He does need to be muzzled for nail trims and ear cleaning, he can get mouthy. Is obsessed with socks. never introduced to children or cats.
